That's pretty cool - I'm a huge fan of the series, although it really shows the age of the special effects. The space jellyfish porn scene ends up looking a bit like a couple of bad wigs going at it . . .

"Encounter at Farpoint" is a pretty solid tv show pilot. I didn't like the overly-sappy ending thoughy with the space jellyfish action. Oh, and thank god they changed Troi's hairstyle and outfit. She looked pretty atrocious in the pilot.

The new outfit and hairstyle in later seasons really changed my perception of her hotness factor. She was easily overlooked in the pilot.

Frankly it wasn't till she put the regular uniform on that I thought she was good. The flowy/billowy thing that replaced the one-piece wasn't a major improvement, just minor.

Believe me, I'd be ecstatic about that as well but I doubt it will happen. I check periodically on any news concerning that and there's nothing so far.

I never understood the attraction to Gates McFadden. At best she was an average looking woman and that was back in 1987! Mirina Sirtis though still looks great even today.

There's serious pixelation on the original dvd releases!

Yes and add that to the fact that the early seasons used a cheaper film stock and also used 16mm film so those early seasons have episodes that look very grainy and dark. The later seasons looked much better due to having a higher budget and a better cinematographer.

Actually, I am afraid of HD version.. Why? In HD, those imperfections such as blemish and wrinkles can appear as plain as day then they ain't hot anymore.. Ruins my perfect fantasies. :P
Her hair is one of the reasons she is so attractive. Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell) was beautiful. Ezri Dax (Nicole de Boer) looked a bit too young I thought. Overall I still think Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) was the best looking. Commander T'Pol (Jolene Blalock) defiantly had nice "assets". My least favorite was probably Kira Nerys (Nana Vistor) which is odd because I really like redheads.
So here is my top five Star Trek Babes (main cast) 1. Jeri Ryan 2. Marina Sirtis 3. Jennifer Lien 4. Jolene Blalock 5. Linda Park
My favorite out of the secondary recurring characters Chase Masterson (Leeta)
My favorite out of the secondary non recurring characters Cyia Batten as Irina (The middle one)
Lets not forget some of the other actresses that lent their talent and beauty to Star Trek
Kate Mulgrew ( Captain Kathryn Janeway) Roxann Dawson (B'Elanna Torres) Nichelle Nichols (Nyota Uhura) Linda Park (Hoshi Sato) Penny Johnson (Kasidy Danielle Yates) Denise Crosby (Tasha Yar) Jeri Ryan (7 of 9) Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) Jennifer Lien (Kes) Jolene Blalock (Commander T'Pol) Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher) Diana Muldaur (Dr. Pulaski, Dr. Ann Mulhall) Rosalind Chao (Keiko O'Brien) Zoe Saldana (Nyota Uhura) Majel Barrett (Christine Chapel, Lwaxana Troi, Number One (pilot), Computer Voice) Martha Hackett (Seska) Michelle Forbes (Ro Laren) Chase Masterson (Leeta) Cyia Batten (Tora Ziyal, Irina, Navaar) Louise Fletcher (Winn Adami) Camille Saviola (Opaka Sulan) Whoopi Goldberg (Guinan) Barbara March (Lursa) Gwynyth Walsh (B'Etor) Patti Yasutake (Alyssa Ogawa) Molly Brink (Talas) Janice Rand (Grace Lee Whitney) Ashley Judd (Robin Lefler) Jennifer Hetrick (Vash) Nancy Hower (Samantha Wildman) Christine Delgado (Susan Nicoletti) Alice Krige (Borg Queen) Susanna Thompson (Borg Queen)

You see Jennifer Lien lately? Imagine Sinead O Connor not bald or tat'd up.
For many on that list, I'll agree on "talent" but not "beauty." Dr Pulaski? No. Kai Winn? No no.
One name I know you left off was Famke Jansen and her guest spot on TNG. Also Michelle Phillips in We'll Always Have Paris on TNG. Kate Vernon on Voyager.
Frankly, with 28 seasons of episodes, you can easily leave off a LOT.

First off I thought her character Kes was gorgeous with long hair. She had a sultry silky voice as well. That being said I don't care about her NOW I care about her THEN. Obviously all the actors and actresses are going to age. Why would I care what she looks like NOW? She is not on Star Trek NOW.
I was bound to miss a few. But those are one shot one episode characters so I don't feel too bad. Thank you for bringing them up.
Also, I was taught you never comment negatively on a females weight, age, teeth, hair, or looks. Kinda rude ya know.
