Yo Guys,
I have been having a problem with IM's MS16 G 8-bit Bf109 E7 Trop.
The elevators show thru the tail at different angles.

The model appears to be Claudio Wilches. I thought maybe I could find
a good model and just replace the 3dz file like I did with the flap on the
P47, but I could not find a model that worked properly.

I found this one, that works quite well......

but this model was put together in a totally unrecognizable way for me to
decipher. The whole body is the f.3dz with the attached 3dz's being cockpit
halves, 2 whole wings on one 3dz, a nose and prop 3dz, and a shadow 3dz.
There is no readme stating who made this model. (I actually got this model
and skin from the original OAWUnified download.)

Does anyone have a good 'regular' 109e 7 model that I could possibly switch out
the 3dz files? I think this would be easier (although I havn't tried) than
trying to edit or re-do the RS.
Thanks,
AO

Hi AngleOff,

This is an interesting problem that is both caused and corrected by
selecting either D3D or Glide in the Graphic section
of the Game Configure control....

Seems that some skins work better with either one or the other.

PS; I have also found that reducing your Terrain Detail setting to Medium
may help too.....

Cheers mate pilot

Hi Skylark,
nope.....makes no difference. nope

I'm only having this problem with E7's. E4's and others
seem to work fine. The only E7's that seem to work good
have a different 3dz setup. (The whole body is in the f.3dz
as opposed to having several other 3dzs' attached to the F.
Thanks,
AO

The rendering problem with several 109E models is in the 3dz. It has been "fixed" at different times without any real results. It also crops up in quite a few other HR models. It is beyond my pay grade to fix it/them. Send me a PM with a link to the model you are refering to so I can look at it.

A/O the model in OAW is a low rez one. So, it won't apply to the newer stuff. Perhaps one day the rendering issues on the HR Emil will be fixed.

Hi Mike,
yes......strange one this one.............. yep

Although the setup of the model is different, the
X, Y, Z, D, F numbers for the elements that make up the
elevators and tail are exactly the same. eek
go figure.....I also found another HR model setup like yours...
a Swiss 109....had the same problem, only much less.....
even thou it too had the exact same X Y Z D F numbers.

Man! Why is it I always find the exotic weird stuff??!
Thanks Mike,
AO

Guys.

I think the tail is fixable, with a bit of Black Magic.

Send me the pile of scrap, and I'll see what this dithering idiot can do with it. pitchafit
