There isn't a 'main' engine on this sort of aircraft, the two engines both drive everything through the gear systems. If you throttle back you throttle everything back, including the propellers providing forward power, so you'd go slower. The only way to stop the main rotor from going supersonic is indeed to do something clever with the gearboxes.

The project 10 film never gets old, thanks I just had to watch it 3 times wink

The music in the second half is from the live action transformers film soundtrack. It's a great soundtrack to use for dramatic videos.

Just had a quick look and you're correct. I wrongly assumed they'd have a 'big' engine to power the main rotor and a smaller one for the two props.
