Is it possible to use the old Falcon 4 or the AF manual to re-learn this sim? I think I saw the same tutorial missions in the game, although with "text-overs" but nothing beats a good Ground School read before a flight.

I have both - but used AF manual for a grounding mainly because I was familiar with it anyway/

It always helps to read the original F4 or F4AF manual.

Add Krause's training videos, and you are good to go.

Happy hunting

Thanks guys. Now if they'd just manage to release FLARE...

Bet we are a few Falcon fans, that waits for FLARE eek

That would be an improvement equal to BMS 4.32!

PLEASE keep it up. (FLARE and BMS) thumbsup and thank you very much so far.

Don't get me wrong guys, but I am starting to hate Kraus' video tutorials. It's just the way he comes across... the way he speaks. And referring to a "meatball" in CCRP mode...

I guess I'm just spoiled with the DCS A10 tutorial makers out there.

Yeah, I hear you Ice -- you should hear how he comes off in his MP videos. Otherwise his tutorials are very good for getting started (which is all he was shooting for). Most of them are very well done. The only one that should be re-done is the ILS one -- even if it was just to truncate it right after he shows how to dial in the avionics.

He has more videos??

I'm not dissing the guy and kudos to him for the time and effort to do this, but it is just too full of errors and "dead time"...

Any other tutorials out there? I've resorted to cracking open my Falcon 4 binder now.

Lol Snake.

I'm just a bit further on to his CCIP/CCRP video and already noted a few errors. I noted he constantly refers to the flight path marker (FPM) as a "meatball," is it called that by any chance? I've never heard it called that before, I do know it's called total velocity vector (TVV) in DCS A10. His recommended attack mode is CCIP (but is actually releasing in CCRP) and attacks at 1,800 feet altitude and releases bombs with bank angles of up to 60 degrees (or more)... not really what a new Falcon pilot should be doing.

The upside is that this is making me even more eager to progress in my re-orientation to test my skills at these things again. Mud-moving was my favorite duty in F4AF and can't wait to do it again in BMS.

I'm thankful for his tutorial vids - they were a great help in just getting up and flying but I've seen his other vids and let's just say I'd rather not fly in his games. Also someone needs to tell him it's pronounced AM-raam not AIM-raam.

Need more vid tutorials of the likes of "Stretch" Morgan's ILS tutorial. Very accurate, technical but also very too the point.

Thanks for that link, Wynn! That is much better, and I feel like I learned A LOT from Stretch's video compared to feeling "stupid-er" after Kraus' tutorial.
