AS Johan says this reminds me of Flight Unlimited back in the day.

I can see there's a market for a small area GA type sim with STOL, Aerobatic planes, Soaring and Heli's. With a small map making it high detail becomes feasible. Getting the physics right is the most important thing, it sounds like it still needs work.

Hopefully a UK version is on the cards. I tried to buy from the international site and with tax and postage it wanted 100Euros.......

Edit.....

I know its just eye candy but its hard to not buzz off details like the flags blowing in the wind.

Are you sure Mogster, i have it sat in my cart saying:

Total :38,79 €

Tax :6,19 €

Shipping and Handling :15,00 €

Grand total : 53,79 €

To the UK..

Think i might give it a go smile

Edit: Sure you didn't add 2 items to your cart!

Edit2: Just noticed it also says: For foreign customers: correct shipping charge will be added accordingly

I have emailed them asking them if 15euros is the correct charge for the UK

Those values above were copied directly from the website.

So has anyone tried this sim out yet? If so whats it like. Is it like FSX or xplane.Maybe someone could give some details about it.

Also is this a radio control program? From the youtube videos its like a flightsim.

Google reviews. There are a few user reviews out there, I found them easily enough today.
It's not fsx or xp. I read the physics are more like xplane but someone else said they feel like giant rc planes.

Read up on the things it has and hasn't got, as it is it's quite a basic sim.
Can't change time of day
No AI aircraft
Engines always on
Non clickable vc
No navigation as in fsx and xp

But... It looks very nice and looks to fly very realistic to me. It reminds me of an old favourite of mine Flight Unlimited.
Willing to give it a go if I can get an answer on shipping, my 3 year old will love it.

Edit: After watching more video's i have to agree that it looks to fly more like a RC sim.
I am a RC flyer and have or have owned most rc sims over the many years, including aerofly 5 that i still have. Alot of the gui in the video's looks just like aerofly 5.
Not saying this is a bad thing, but it does look like it's running the same engine as af5. there are full scale aircraft in af5 also, it really does look like the rc version in many respects.

I get 53.79 Euros now, as you say I must have had 2 copies in my basket.

3% by ordering via internet

Total :

38,79 €

Tax (incl.):

6,19 €

Shipping and Handling::

15,00 €

Grand Total:

53,79 €

For foreign customers: correct shipping charge will be added accordingly

Edit..…

I've put my money where my mouth is and ordered this. I don't see how postage from Germany can be more than €15.

Let me know when you find out how much you have been charged.

Tried contacting them, but as usual customer support from ikarus is not good, and i've had no response! had this problem before with aerofly 5.

That's all that's stopping me from buying ;(
