I think you are right Erik..which is why I hadn't been using the technique.

The Wonder Pets are great. Probably the favorite show my wife and I watch with the little one. Quirky, funny, and has just enough witty humor to keep us from totally tuning it out.

How people can watch SpongeBob Square Pants is beyond me. That show is annoying.

You too, sir, will be converted.

SpongeBob taps into a child's newly discovered sense of irony. And it never crosses the line. It come close but never crosses. Watch it with a five year old and you will get it.

SBSP is amusing like once per 30 mins. WP is usually amusing a few times, putting it ahead. And the music is better! smile

The guy behind WP does a show on Disney called 3rd and Bird. It's not as good IMO, but the girls like it too.

I've never bothered with tracks just because the way they're done, to save space, has made them far too error-prone. It's always amusing to watch something you know did NOT happen suddenly occur that wipes out an entire flight that is supposed to destroy a bunch of targets later...and then later comes and the targets don't blow up...

Fair enough -- I guess I've never seen that, but my flights are short with few enemies. I'm still struggling just to fly the machine.

Griff’s angel “co-pilot”:
“Hi BBall….”

Me: “Hello Nola…how are you sweetie?”

Griff: “Roger, I’m leaving STP 1 and will meet you this side of 2.”
“No Nola…don’t push that….”
“No ….we’re NOT going to crash…”
“Hang on Bill….I’ll be right back….”

(insert sound of 3 yr old being taken to bed….)

Ah….my little “co-pilot” is 15 now and could care less about my flight simming. I completely remember the days of her in my lap, inbound to the target in Jane’s F/A-18 doing some fancy “nap of the Earth”, and she’d grab the HOTAS, jam forward on the stick and we’d become a huge fireball of teeth, hair and eyeballs.

“Sigh….OK honey, let’s see if “Blues Clues” is on TV.”

Good luck guys, it does get better…

cheers

BBall

I can't even leave the mancave door open! Anytime my 19mo old notices the door is open she goes running in giggling. She then grabs and HOTAS, controller or loose exposed wire and goes to town! Couple more years and it will get better, but right now its so hard for me to sim an hour here or an hour there. Someone needs to make vehicle skins in the likeness of Sprout TV characters, "rifle" splash one Barney!

One word: gates!

We have one on the door to our office/PC room so they can't come running in. Also one around the kitchen, easier than getting locks for every cabinet and the pantry.

Oh for sure I have doors, gates and safety locks! I close the door and my daughter stands outside it screaming and crying to let her in. The only solution, "Samuel L. Jackson's: GO THE F**K TO SLEEP" sadly does not work in this situation!

In any case the door just stays closed at all times and even I'm crying, kicking and screaming to get in!
