Thanks wheelsup Your suggestion is like a breath of fresh air! I was giving up hope having tried every permutation of the conf ini file and nvidea graphics and monitor tricks. I'll report back with results.

wheelsup, Thanks a million ! It worked. I created a file outside of Windows program file. I titled it "games." Installed Il-2 to it and Changed the conf ini file to 1920 x 1080 my monitor's resolution and Voi La'. Looks beautiful. Squatty dials gone! My appreciation to all of you.

Now on to getting the game to recognize my Saitek Pedals. See other post.
