Knegel and I have been working in parallel universes, but on different parts of the game.
I have completed my TM2 project and will be releasing a test install shortly.
The upshot is that we can have 256 tiles, and that should be more than enough.
The names of the tiles, and their corresponding bump tiles, are in two new string files.
The bumptile ID list is in an external file with the default one being in a new folder "EAWTM2".
I have been testing this exe with currently available scenarios, such as "SPAW":

Here I had converted the the SPAW "eaw.tm" file to a "eaw.tm2" but taken the option to replace all references to water tiles (#2) with the 65th tile (#64) which is a snowy city tile. Hence my "White Christmas" wish to everyone.

Have a good one smile

wink Jel

Seems like the South Pacific is turning into a skating rink.

I KNEW that "global warming" thing was a scam.
