Hi Guys.

Several years ago, we had a updated game review published on SimHQ.

If you read it now, it's badly out of date.

Time to blow the horn again? wink

Yeah, I'd say.

The more advertising, the better.

It should be updated if for no other reason than to include guys that came aboard since 2005 that added so much to this sim.

Guys like AO, Skylark, Iron Mike and MadProf.

Heck I don't think Jel got a mention either. Without his editors where would we be?

A new article should make clear that EAW made light jumps from 2005 to 2011.

There are trillions of modifications inside and outside the code to the better, for Multiplayers, single mission players and campaign players. Regarding the gameplay EAW remain near the top of all WWII Sims, imho its on the top!
Unfortunatelly its difficult to show that on a screenshot. frown
For a good advertising its still most important to point to this, cause only here EAW can hold its own over the other "modern" Simīs.

I think EAW has fallen off the players list, because they all think it still suffers from the 7217 error. It would be worth reading through all the debugging threads for 1.28e, and post a sticky [Yes, another one!], giving direct advice for different rigs and OS's that we have come across. This would be more helpful than trying to find the information by searching the forum.

If you, like I do, watch the thread counts we still have an astonishingly high post to view count, which shows more than anything how many people are still interested in EAW.

I haven't played in probably six years but I still miss playing. I never did get past the 7217 error and there is so much information that it can be and is a bit overwhelming to sort through all of it for the relevant information, for me anyways. I have even followed a couple of the help me install threads and I still got lost so it has to be Pebkac syndrome that is the problem. I still enjoy reading what is new and I am very happy to see that there is still a very active community keeping this great old title fresh.
