They've already disproved that idea when they showed the Moon being larger. The Moon is getting farther away from Earth each year. There's no way it will come back.
However, they could find copies of themselves all wearing goatees, in a mirror universe!

The Jedi Master oops yeah, forgot about that... they never find the probe in the future because it gets destroyed in the forthcoming assault by the bad guys (who have communications w/ the future).

Yes I got the "Mirror Mirror" ST: TOS reference. I've seen the Stargate movie several times but the pyramid quote from Skatezilla just threw me off!

And the tiny pyramid could be disguised with a beard and goatee. And the pyramid speaks in a mysterious voice that "pauses" before finishing sentences.
