I looked through the controls options and didn't see anything. I'm talking about when you drop a bomb having a camera view that follows it down.

Thanks!

I have always wanted this feature too since I always used it in EAW but it doesn't exist in the stock version of IL-2 1946.
One of the mods may have addressed it but I haven't seen it.

Darn! Oh well, it does kinda take the fun out of bombing when you can't see the destruction up close. I usually go to external cam and try to pan around in time to see them hit from above. PITA

You can edit missions to place a camera on the map pointed at your target(s), and then you can cycle through the views to watch the destruction from the ground. You can also record the action as a track file and replay it later from different views.

I took his question to mean that he wanted to watch the bombs from the time they were dropped until they hit the ground. EAW did this with bombs and it was a pretty neat feature.

Something I thought of recently was that since .trk files are just .mis files with some extra flight data I wondered if adding a camera to the .mis file after the fact might work or if it would corrupt the .trk files playback since they are touchy even without trying to edit anything? I haven't tried it yet because I keep forgetting about it. biggrin

I know it's not possible to edit .ntrk's in this manner.
