well this sucks... but I'm sure it can be fixed/corrected... anyone?

Bought BS2 installed it on a old system, 1 time... un-licensed and un-installed it from that system a week or two ago... got a brand new system (built by guod just for me); downloaded and installed V1111 yesterday... goto authenticate and get the denied because of hardware...

any advise? Whats the procedure on this.

and i did send in a ticlet...so will see.

When you deactivated, did you copy down the deactivation code? Use that code as your new activation code and it should re-activate regardless of hardware differences.

Even if you didn't save the deactivation code, you should be able to spend an activation to re-activate the game. I think there's an app link in the BS2 folder to manage activations - I'm at work now though and can't check.

In the DCS Black Shark 2/Doc folder you will find DCS BS2 QuickStart Guide EN.pdf document. Here you can find some info about activations. Hope this helps a little. Good luck.

You have installed the wrong patch for the version you bought.

Please be sure to download the patch for the version you have ie BS2 Upgrade or BS2 standalone.

I did, as a favor to a dying breed, and a great company that has supported SimHQ with ads... i bought the full version of of BS2 instead of the upgrade from BS1... and with my new system downloaded the 1111 version.

But I will investigate.

OK, I'm getting pissed now... if your damn DRM program makes it hard for honest users to use your product, your WRONG.

I'm following all the rules, entered my info at that damn starforce site, and still getting the below error:

"Invalid Hardware Code. Make sure the Serial Number used is valid for the product you are trying to activate, generate a new Hardware Code and try again"

So, what do i do... like an idiot... to avoid further hassle... I go buy a brand new, full version 1111 key... and guess what, the new key won't activate either, giving me the same error.

and to top it off, and while I'm posting this HERE, because i have e-mailed and submitted a ticket, haven't heard a damn word from DCS. (this DCS is just like the Florida DCS (department of child services, lol)).

EDIT:- I just saw you above post - you are proabaly downloading the Upgrade version of the patch and are trying to apply the Wrong (ie Standalone) Key to it.

No... i spent all day yesterday downloading the full version... just bought a new key for the full version 10 mins ago... and with the new key I get this error:

The system requires the correct Serial Number of the application to perform this operation. The Serial Number entered is wrong or mistyped. Enter a valid Serial Number and try again.

It's not wrong, I copied/pasted it. and checked it.

Guess I will un-install BS2, and download all new again NOW... dammit.

Thx... fixed... uninstall, reinstall did it... never even asked for key this time.
