SB looks a lot sharper and higher res, everything in Steel Armor looks a bit blurry and aliased, probably with too strong normal mapping too. Steel Armor has nicer particle effects, shadows, and details like that.


Thanks i'll have a look. I managed to get there by accident lol and really liked the night vision. Took out an APC with the coax as the main gun wouldn't fire. Watching the loader was cool.

Once I get the hang I can see me liking it.

The interface is confusing when you start but do stick with it.

Once things get familiar you'll start to notice more and more good stuff.

I have worked it out now and with Achtung Panzer (so I have just bought Operation Star too) and it's a great tank sim. Are most missions at night though?

There should be a thing in the options to disable night battles, otherwise it's based on the time of the day in the operation. Each turn is a few hours and if you have night battles turned on, you may want to conduct any major attacks while you have daylight (current time should be shown on the turn-based phase screen).
