F1 did rather well in the US until Bernie gained power over F1 and it has been on and off up and down ever since. It has not been able to take root since. Plant a seed, two good races Texas and New Jersey, let it grow and ten seasons from now F1 will be an established part of the US racing scene. Look at what grew out of the ALMS.
