One of the additional ideas I had from the start was to place small areas of red/yellow/orange to the tree textures for each tile...this thought has "so far" not worked out....I keep finding that the rusty tint to the base tiles always looks better to me. Maybe this could be added later but I want to get this set done and move on to winter.

Sweet! Can't wait for those either. have you noticed yet if your previous terrain has been cloned, and used in another Sim yet??

Are the bridges eye candy or legit targets?

Thanks Steven190...it's alway nice to hear someone uses the tiles. CG...Thanks... "have you noticed yet if your previous terrain has been cloned, and used in another Sim yet??"No I have not seen anything...a long time ago someone thought about using some tiles in (i think) strike fighters. I didn't & don't know much about "strike fighters" but never heard anything more. If the tiles were good enough for others to use I would love to see...EAW has come a long way. I still stink at flying these planes but have had alot of fun in the past & I am excited about the future of EAW. iron mike...hmmmm...i didn't do anything to the bridges...well I painted under them..hahahhaa. That was just where I was flying around after I ran out of ammo and was thinking to take a few pics to share. I am always out of ammo..hahaha!

Saggin, lovely work mate, can't wait to see the winter version too Mike, the bridges aren't recognised as targets by the game because they are placed by the ttd file I think, rather than the target files, I did try making 'target' bridges in SAW but if you place them on the 'bridge crossing ' tile you end up with two bridges on top of each other !! If you place them anywhere else, then there is water under the bridge ( not a land 'bridge' for vehicles to use as on the correct tile) and convoys can't use them but they can be targets that way if you place them in the targets.dat file... if you use a seperate 3dz for the 'target bridges' I suspect you could also have them as targets in the campaign files for bombing... by setting them up in the relevent file. cheers, Pobs

I think this target mod for the standard EAW world includes some bridge targets: http://www.sandbagger.uk.com/rotton50.htmlI seem to recall adding a bridge at Remagen as well as a few others scattered about the world. They won't be assigned as a mission but they can be destroyed on the way home and they do count in the score. Hopefully this mod is the right one as I have a severe case of CRS ( Can't Recall Sh*t).

Hi Mike,
just for completeness, I should mention that Geo also did a bridge target mod some years ago, he placed 14 bridges at named locations as targets and included terrain files for default and max188's terrains, adapted to show a 'shadow' at long range at the bridge locations, this was to overcome the problem at the time of target bridges appearing at a much closer distance than non-target ones for some reason... If you want a copy of that one, just pm me.
cheers,
Pobs

I have just finished the Autumn tiles and they will be sent off to sandbagger soon! I was cleaning up test folders and pics and found this one....I think it is good to compare the "green" tile to the new autumn tiles. I have come to like this version...the rusty tint is a great contrast to the green colors of the original tiles. To be honest it doesn't scream Autumn at 1st but more so just a different look.
