Very much so and this is what makes flying against AI a completely unrealistic and frustrating experience. It's useless trying to surprise AI. Worse still, it will outrun you most of the times because of its never-overheating engine and/or outmaneuver you because it never blacks out. It still beats me how Oleg and his team could get away with something so lame.

Those were definitely kind of lame issues... that said... AI programming isn't an easy thing and it's even more difficult when you're limited by CPU cycles. The original IL-2 AI had to work on Pentium 2s remember. Modern CPUs can crunch just a few more numbers wink

As the videos illustrate...the AI is actually looking around now and is a bit more "aware" of what it can and can't see and it doesn't aim straight ahead now. It will try and correct and anticipate. Looks a little bit scary actually!
