Have you ever seen this The Proposition I watched it again last night after seeing it originally in 2006, Pretty scarey actually because as i was watching i thought..i wonder what Panzer would think of this movie smile

I don't know if you get many aussie movies over there but i would recommend this one and would be interested to know what you thought of it.

My character somehow got all twisted up. I was playing the mission where you have to infiltrate the Golden Glow Estate and do multiple things. When I was out burning beehives and fighting I just eventually ran away to view my success from a distance. I first noticed it when I squated down on a tree trunk. Coot..the squatter../simHQ/2011

Hey Ajay, I've not seen it but I'll check Netflix to see if it's available. The premise is certainly interesting to me.

Ajay, I didn't even know Nick Cave wrote screenplays! eek I like his music with the 'bad seeds' and have his Murder ballads record, he's a very good lyricist and story teller through music so it would not surprise me if he could write a good screenplay too. I'll have to check this out some time.

We get a lot of Aussie films on the BBC mate, and there are some great ones. I particularly like the comedies.....Muriels Wedding is great. One I saw recently I thought was very funny too, called My year without sex.....very clever script and subtext and highly recommended. smile Aussies are naturally funny people and the sense of humour is pretty much the same as Pomlands, so we get it easily. Often very dry, can be dark at times and you're not frightened of taking the p*ss out of yourselves, which is always funny and something I admire. Muppets who take themselves too seriously can never be in 'my gang', and the joke in fact is on them. Miserable b*stards. biggrin

They've started showing 'Angry Boys' on the beeb too. Chris Lilley is a funny bloke, very talented. I like the stand up Tim Minchin too. smile

Yes we definitely have the old bligty roots to thank for our retarded sense of humour smile I think our weirdness is also similar but we have moulded it into our strange type.So many people i have met do not get the stuff we piss ourselves laughing at ..so we laugh more biggrin Chris Lilley is probably a good example.

If you ever get a chance Biggles sus out Fat Pizza and Swift and Shift ( both about as politically correct as burning a flag in paliament house whilst hanging a picture of Adolf offa your old fella ) , typical mental aussie stuff where we are not to shy to knock the head off an old disabled lady if she is too slow at the traffic lights.

Knowing Nick Cave i think you would have a fairly good idea that The Proposition is pretty dark and pulls no punches.Nothing at all like the typical shoot em up good guy bad guy western. Really would be interested to see what you guys think of it smile

Had to do a wee bit 'Necromancy' here, like. zombie

Superb film Ajay mate, an excellent recommendation and thanks kindly thumbsup . Not for the faint Hearted, of course. Bought it in a sale on DVD for a few quid. Watched it last neet. Money well spent, the review will have to wait. All you need to know is that it is a great film. Watch it. Thats it.

Most Excellent.
