what is an optimal bandwidth for multiplay

How long is a string?


Master Arms is using 2000 for clients and about 3-5000 for host. But we are mostly never more than 6 players.

The bandwith the game uses is the lesser of the following:

A: The host's BW value
B: The slowest clients BW mutiplied by the number of clients.

There is not an 'optimal' value.

I did some research and found an old post that recommends 80% of your upload speed. In my case that would be 4500 kbps.

I think the most important part is to use tha same BW for all clients.

Rivven: So the clients BW should not be the same as the host?
Second:I have notiaced in MP (as host) I have to use AB to taxi and take off a/s is 200kts. Could this be caused by BW settings? Don't see this in SP on same missions.
