Salute Sirs,

does anyone knows why the shift button is not been recognised as a shift button, but as button 14?
In BS2 > Option > Controls the stick is known as a Cyborg X, so BS2 should know about the Shift button.

Is it possible to switch the english download version into german?

You will have to use the Saitek programming software to assign the shift function to that button. In fact, you must create a profile with this software and load it into the stick each time you play BS 2 if you want that shift functionality. If you don't load a profile into the Cyborg, you are left to assign functions to the stick buttons and axes from within Black Shark 2 - but shift will not be an available function. On my Saitek X-52, the shift button is only a shift button if I tell it to be in the profile programming software. Without that, games just see it as another button.

Actually, you can define Button 14 as a shift button without the Saitek programming software: Look here.

Regarding language versions: I think there are no longer different language versions as in BS1--the english version comes with all available translations. Which one is used depends on your OS interface language. You might want to search the ED forums for more info.

Very interesting, OlafM! I should have made my response sound like A solution, not THE solution. Even after so many years of simming I keep forgetting this basic lesson. smile

Salute Sirs,

and thanks alot. I did know that allready, but unfortunately I forgot it as well. notworthy
Had to remember as well, that the search function will give a lot of answers - normally.
The language thing is not the only problem, cause I canīt get the BS2 copy to work,
canīt fly a mission cause my code shall be wrong.
Support from Eagle didnīt solved it jet. Maybe, Iīm simply to old as a 50+ for BS2, FC2, A10C....

See also here

I only have "en" in both BS2 and A-10C.
