The additons are great too. The T-72 is definately a challenging gunnery platform. But I'm really enjoying the Bradley additions such as the gunners 3D view and the gun fan, it adds an extra bit of atmosphere that was missing before. Thanks to Ssnake and the eSims team for a great update to an already solid armor sim.

Install went very smoothly - no troubles with code meter stick being recognized this time. Among the several interesting new wrinkles in this edition is the redone infantry and the enhanced capability for scenario designers using them. Pushing ATM-armed infantry forward in OPs or reconning looks to be more fun now, and likely more dangerous for armored adversaries as a result. Not sure what the future may hold for this enhanced direction, but it's a nice step regardless.

Gruss Mein Herr,

I live in San Jose zur see, not far from Aptos bei Santa Cruz. I need 2.640 installation guidance. When the release was made, my desktops were dead due to three hard drive media failures. An expensive mess and delay from upgrading my Steel Beasts Pro edition. I went to the site listed by Mr. Kramer to download six files. My swizzle stick was updated to the new release from an email from "sales' at eSims.

However in the file download process bin 1 will download to a user-designated site. Here the eSims directory. However, the other five files download immediately to a temporary file. The executable and the data files are not linking to complete the installation process.

I am certain that I am making a fundamental something. Please advise how to recover.

All archive parts must be copied into the same, temporary folder. Then run the executable (this is a self-extracting archive) to create the setup.exe and setup-1.bin files. These are the two installation files. The multi-part archive can now be deleted, and if you want you can now make an installation DVD simply by putting the two setup files on a disk, or create some other form of backup. Or simply install it right away from that temporary folder.

Please pay attention to the installation advice and the changes of the user interface in the Release Notes which can be found on the same downloads page as the multi-part archive. They are listed on the first pages, so you don't have to read everything in the RNs. I still think that it's useful to read at least the pages that describe the new features, but some people prefer minimal reading, so...
