Is there anyway to find out if the player's character is afflicted with any disease or curse? I just fought some vampires and now in the day I received a message that I feel weaker in the sun.
For that matter, how about whatever blessings I've received? Would be good to have a reminder of what's active.
I've looked all over the interfaces but I couldn't find any info screen that lists all these.
BTW, this is the PC version.
Thanks.

In your spells/shouts menu, near the bottom click "Active Effects". Diseases' effects should be highlighted red. Drink a "Cure Disease" potion ASAP!

Or go to one of the shrines/temples dedicated to the gods (not Daedra!). It will cure all your diseases. Alternatively, seek out that brotherhood (name escapes me at the moment) of "Daedra-haters", either at their HQ or when you meet them on the road (they tend to travel in parties of three). Speak to them and ask them to heal you.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks!
Umm, another question. Lydia seems not to want to wear any armour I give her prefering to stay with what she had when I recruited her. The only things she's wearing is a steel helmet. She has her default armour set on her but no armour in her inventory. Bug?

Another tip. Lydia and other companions don't level correctly*, so their stats will stay the same level as when you first met them. To fix it:

Tell them to leave your service.
Open the console and click on them.
Type "getav health"
Type "disable"
Close the console for a second or two.
Reopen the console and type "enable".
Type "getav health" again, the value should be higher than what it was the first time.

*Haven't checked to see if it was fixed by 1.3. Don't remember it being in the patch notes.

That seems to mainly happen when she's unloaded by the game engine and has to be reloaded. So it usually isn't an issue unless you tell her to stay somewhere while you're running around alone.

Drop items. Hold "E" to go into command mode, and tell them to pick up the items. There's no limit on how much junk they can pick up. smile

Companions can die in combat from NPCs. I saw it happen with that Nord you meet in Whiterun after he became my companion.

When their health is critically low they go down on one knee, and NPCs will stop attacking them. However, they can still be hit, either by AoE attacks or an errant weapon swing or arrow.

I have that bug that Blade mentioned. She just won't wear higher rated armour. In fact, there was no armour in her inventory at all when she first joined. So I can't force her to wear armour by removing the lesser tyoe. frown
