I found it cool, yeah okay so not realistic but tbh it is a "game" so enjoy it thats what games were made for right?

That stuff first appeared in BF1942, right out of the gate, so it's not like it's anything new. I witnessed people diving from P-51s to Bf-109s several times as well as firing AT shots at them.
The main difference then was the prop planes were slower so your time over the map before having to turn around wasn't AS bad.
