I just installed rof Iron cross edition and updated it.

It took my key code for the game just fine also..at least it says it did...ha ha..

I went to the ROF site and under the "Useful Materials" heading there are listed some skin packs and manuals & stuff.

Under the skins list I downloaded the thumbnails conversion pack plus the rof skin pack.

It does not say what to do with these downloads so I assume that the are to be unzipped into the main
rof folder installed under program files section... I did that, but no new skins show up in the game Hanger area.

Did I do this correctly or do I need to run the installer somewhere else?

I would have asked the rof tech people this question, but their forum will not allow me to post on it...

Hi Papa. I just recently installed those skins myself, with the exception of the thumbnail converter. If you're running XP or windows 7, go to your downloads window (I'm running Firefox... Not sure how to bring it up in IE) and double click the download (for example, "historical skin pack vol. 1). It should bring up the installer. Just make sure you install them to your root RoF folder, then install. Also, if you're running windows 7, make sure to disable UAC before installing, and re-enabling it once you're done. Hope that helps!

Hi Jetguy...

I'm running XP Pro and I also use Mozilla Firefox. I did just as you stated, but I still only see the default skins.

When I go to any other skins in the long list I only see a black window.. Anyway, I did not install vol-1 so I will download that & install & then see what shows up...

Thanks...

If the names of the skins are showing up but you get black boxes instead of pics then I am guessing you have not installed the dds converter that you mention in your first post. Install that, just like the skin pack process, and you should have pictures for the new skins as well.

EDIT: BTW, the skins will still work, you just can't see the preview thumbnail.
