Not sure if the question was tongue in cheek, but I think going from NFS The Run to iRacing is quite a bit of a step in realism and time investment to get your money's worth, you may want to try out NFS Shift (1 or 2), F1-2010, Race 07, rFactor etc first.

See the other thread here about "best sim" we all have our favorites, but the top few on each person's list would be good.

I suppose you'll want to play a game that's good with wheel+pedal that has long public roads and beautiful scenery. Then The Run is actually quite lonesome in this category...

I mean, you can get the 2010 NFS HP, but that game is not so good with wheels. Or you can go with more realistic games that benefit from wheels, but these are predominantly course racing so no open roads.

Of the NFS games, I'd say NFS1 (yes 1), Porsche Unleashed, Underground 2, Pro Street, Shift 1&2 are worth playing with wheel+pedal. Grid, Dirt 2 & 3 are great if you want a polished package with mixed disciplines. The Race 07 series can be a great collection with wheel+pedal, but if you're looking for scenery it's totally useless.

Iracing is great, but...its tricky and the level of other drivers is pretty tough...it will take some time to get good at it and it can be expensive, unless you wait for the deals like the other week, one year for $49,

but, I think the graphics look good and has some of the best online racing due to the SR/IR system
