It just doesn't work! banghead All my assumptions of how a plane should fly go out the window.

Has anyone ever gotten out of a spin in the SPAD 7? I push the stick forward, hammer the opposite rudder pedal and make myself a cup of tea while my kite slowly spins to the ground. The fall is so gradual that my pilot actually survived to be captured.

Come to think of it, I can't remember recovering from a spin in any RoF planes. Should I stick to my hurricane? Maybe I'm not meant for wood and canvas..... Wounded

I personally find I occasionally have better luck putting rudder into the spin. Dunno why!

Better still, kill the engine. The quickest way to recover in the Spad 7 is to turn off the engine, wait for the spin to stop, and then switch the engine on again.

Ok.. For left or right handed spins the drill is the same; Power off, stick forward and aileron into the spin, then hold with opposite rudder.. no dramas!

I have the Camel completely under control. It never kills me, anymore. But, for some reason, I can't get out of a spin in the SPAD 7. Spun on me three times , one night, on line. Finally grabbed another airplane.

Again, do not just reduce the power in the Spad 7. Turn the engine off. Don't try to take shortcuts and it is easy to recover.

You should be getting in a spin in a SPAD in the first place.

You're not supposed to turn it.
