None that I can think off, besides maybe not needing a separate DP-to-HDMI adapter, if you don't have one display with DP. Maybe you can find some more advantages in the list of features: Features

Biggest downsides to the Matrox route :
Price of the seperate box
No 5760 x 1200
Frequency limit of 50Hz

2LT_Joch, I have a digital TH2Go gathering dust in my closet since I moved on to 3D Surround, and coincidentally we appear to live close by...
