Anyway to make it install to a directory besides program files?

Thanks!

I think there is a question in there somewhere and I also would like to see a solution to the install limitation. In Win7 x64 the default location of the 1-click installer is a Windows folder reserved for 64 bit programs. Additionally I like to install all games to drives other than C:.

And I certainly thank Daedalus for the 1 click install.

It's funny how mine installed. The exe is nothing more than a zip. My installation is on a different drive letter. When I did the '1 update', it basically created the whole installation folder on the default C drive.

I was able to copy everything into the 'Generic Mod Enabler' and be able to install it where my installation is.

If you like, I can zip up the folder for you...

Here you guys. Either use 'Generic Mod Enabler' or unzip directly to your FA-18 directory. thumbsup

I appreciate the effort, sir.

I did basically what you did. I installed to a new dir to avoid the win7 file rights issue of the default dir (program files). Then I installed the 1 click installer and just copied everything over to the new dir.

The only thing I am worried about is if the 1 click installer makes any registry entries that point to the default path. I suspect it does not though as my install seems pretty solid.

Now I need to start investigating if I should use any additional add-ons besides the 1 click installer?

I know there were some wide aspect monitor specific mods I might be able to take advantage of. I am playing at 1920x1080 on a 27" monitor. I will have to do some digging.

I might also want to try some skins. VF-1 and VF-84 are personal favorites smile
