I had a friend send this article to me and thought that some other history nuts around here would be interested. Long story short this guy is tweeting events from WW2 in real time.

Thanks for sharing. It is an interseting idea. Our Franco-German cultural TV channel, Arte, did such a thing 20 years ago with a TV show called "Histoires Parallèles" (Parallel (Hi)stories)...every week from january 1989 till end 1995, an 1 hour show, with one weekly newsreel of one of the WW2 protagonists, from the relevant week, and a debate between two historians from the different involved countries...I would have loved that WW2 would have last longer !!

I've been following it for a couple of weeks now, and he's doing a good job of keeping it interesting. I'm admittedly pretty ignorant about the Winter War, but have learned quite a bit from his little messages over the last few days. However, things get a bit disconcerting when his tweets get mixed in with my regular news updates and, scrolling through the [modern] days' happenings, I see "Russian bombers appear over Helsinki; 40 killed in attack."
