Morning All!

I just got back into IL2 and did a fresh install and patched to 4.10 then installed the UP3.0

In the QMB I would like to use a channel map of some kind but can't recall how to add maps, or missions for that matter? Also I notice that I don't have a Mods folder in my IL2 1946 directory now like I did in my old modded install (still on my HD), is that the way it should be now?

Thanks for any help!

Ogs.

install Dark Blue World (http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,16539.0.html, 3 files needed) and in jsg mod enabler activate #DBW_MissionPro Combo by PAL, it will add a lot of new maps into Missions/QuickQMBPro

Thanks VP! A little confusing for an old geezer so maybe you can help? Do I have to download starting at 1.1 and then each one up to 1.6?? Sometimes modding Il2 requires some masonic involvement to get basic install instructions! smile Cheers

Never mind I found the answer! smile

Are there any addon maps for the non-modded 4.10? I assumed we'd see quite a few templates, but they hadn't materialised when I last checked a few months ago.

We have a few QMB packs at M4T.
QMB Missions: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&c=603
My Midway QMB pack should work in v4.10 too but I made it in v4.10.1.

There is a good guide on how to add them to the stock QMB too. (I don't know how much of this applies to the modded QMB.)
Adding your favorite map to the Quick Mission Builder: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Knowledge_Base&op=show&kid=621
The best advice I can give is to create and test the templates one at a time so you know what template the QMB is loading, or not loading if it isn't working properly.

I think i messed up somewhere though! The plane and map selections go upward off the top of my screen so I can't see many of them but maybe its my monitor as I am currently using an old flat analog one? This is DBW 1.6

I'm at 1440*900 and I can see the lists except the 1st entry of the maps. Whoever made the mod probably tested it @ 1920*1280. Whats your screen resolution?

1024x768, which is the max for this monitor! Its only temporary and I'm ok with it being the monitor for now, I just wasn't sure if I had messed up the install somewhere! Cheers.

in the FMB there are a lot of maps in the list so you're gonna need this mod too, makes display font few points smaller:

http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=16539.0;attach=2591

(if it downloads as index.php as it did for me then rename the extension to 7z and it will extract as usual)
