But Fuzzy seems to have experienced it though.

Every stick will have some center play, no matter what. The differences lie in if it's normal for that stick or not, and how the gimbal system works. If you've got a stick that has two gimbals, one for X and one for Y you will have some centerplay as using the stick over time will wear the metal or plastic parts down. You will also have that "bump" feeling from transitioning from one axis to the other. The Warthog and my old Sidewinder 2 use the "ball gimbal" which means you will not notice the axis transitioning but you will feel a "bump" when you exit the center. Now, if the spring and housing weren't set just right you will have center play that's not normal...

Anyhow, when my Cougar and the spare parts I have for it get all used up, I'll be getting a Warthog as I love the feel. biggrin

I didn't have to ship mine to Europe. They had me send it to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

I had a similar issue where my throttle stopped responding in game. The first thing I did was freak out and re-install the game losing all my multi monitor config in the process (didn't fix it either). After taking some advice on the ED forums I deleted the throttle key config files (documents>saved games>DCSA10) and restarted the game and that did the trick.

Yeah, it isn't game specific though. The stick isn't recognized via the USB ports (tried multiple USB ports and multiple computers). Thanks for the suggestion though.

Got the RMA instructions from Thrustmaster today - my stick base will be headed for that large landmass up north that catches all the snow that could be disastrous for our citizens.

wink

Beach,
I feel your pain. Just got my new throttle back from RMA land myself. I had a stuck button 26 and after all the joys of retesting it on a VMWared XP install on an iMac to prove that the button was indeed stuck I received an RMA. 2 weeks to get it through to them and 3 days back. Apparently what we ship to Canada is far more dangerous than what we receive from them. Oh well, I'm going to mirror what Ice said "hang in there, it's worth it". Don't bother with the X52 (or a 940 if you've got one) as you WILL be disappointed at the loss of precision let alone the inherent functionality of the Warthog. My theory is that it makes more sense for me to learn to play the piccolo on one instrument as opposed to two that are not designed as well for it. With you being a pilot IRL YMMV. I played a LOT of strike fighters and FC2 to get me over the hump, but never once touched DCS as I didn't want to pick up any bad habits. Again YMMV as your experience level by far exceeds mine and transitioning may/will be much easier for you.
