Out on a solo patrol in my trusty N28 and came across a bunch of Spads engaging a flight of Pfalz DIII's. Looked like a great opportunity as I'm usually trying to fight off 4 of them by myself!

Jumped into the middle of the mess and soon found myself ( as usual!) fighting off all of the enemy birds alone as the Spads hauled #ss!!!

What's the deal with that?

On a related note, why the hell don't my wingmen join into the fray when I attack a flight of enemy birds? Most of the time they just follow me around and offer no help whatsoever. Why should I have to "command" them to attack the enemy when they are in the middle of them???? Have to admit that doesn't make much sense.

Ah well, I may be b!tchin' but RoF's the only "fun" thing I run on my 'puter!

LOL...I know what you mean. For myself I'm still trying to figure out what position in the formation I'm supposed to take when I'm not the leader of a flight. I go to where I think I'm supposed to be and the AI wingmen seem to crowd me out of the position. Maybe they are trying to tell me something...

Agreed - most annoying.
Also 777, please do something about the high altitude 2-seater already - or at least the flight leaders tendency to go after him regardless of what the mission actually is. I'm tired of flying to the objective by myself and waiting for the rest of my flight to finally show up.

Green - "Look what I found"

Yellow - "Oh !!, He's got a friend"

Red - "OH NO, He's got LOTS of friends !!!!!!!"

White - "Run Away"
