thanks for your responce. I think I'll eventually buy the best 1TB HDD.
I actually started computing back in 1980: I was going to college on the G.I. bill
but got a student loan for $2,000 to buy a complete comodore 64 computer: modem, printer, drive and, monitor.
Here is the kicker. I bought it at Toys R Us for ...$2,000. Yes, $2,000 in the city of Cerritos.
Over the years I've done a "million" things, but I eventually became an AMD man mainly due to price.
I was never into overclocking, I think this stems from my background in technology where you had to
understand the true meaning of the word "specifications". I learned my way around a multitester over 30years ago.
But I'm like you, basicaly a "ground pounder" and, I like it that way.
