I have "HarpoonUltimate-SetupRelease-v100a" which extracts to an installation
setup of 4 individual files. It will not let me install to Drive-D.
I've looked at the registry and, I've decided it might be too much to wade thru' and
redirect to Drive-D if I copied the installtion over to that drive.

The total installation is a little bigger than 4.5GBs but, on a 128GBs SSD the "winsxs"
folder taking up 18GBs of HD space: well I'm runing out out of space in a hurry since,
I also have FSX installed on that SSD.

I'm planning to buy a larger SSD later this next month, unless someone can suggest
a fast, reliable, ITB HD on which I can place FSX while leaving the current SSD for the O.S. and Harpoon.

Thanks for any suggestions.

P.S Herman, do you have any solutions to the install path for Harpoon?

O.K I've figured out a short term solution: Disable system restore, then reenable it at a smaller size.
I think I can reclaim at least 10-->14GBs.

The fact that you can throw around terms like SSD and ITB HD means that you are more adept with hardware than I. I have my C: drive and a secondary E: slave drive. I have not tried to install the game to a drive other than my default drive.

Sorry, but I can offer no helpful advice in this matter except to get a bigger drive.

Hi Herman,
thanks for your responce. I think I'll eventually buy the best 1TB HDD.
I actually started computing back in 1980: I was going to college on the G.I. bill
but got a student loan for $2,000 to buy a complete comodore 64 computer: modem, printer, drive and, monitor.
Here is the kicker. I bought it at Toys R Us for ...$2,000. Yes, $2,000 in the city of Cerritos.

Over the years I've done a "million" things, but I eventually became an AMD man mainly due to price.
I was never into overclocking, I think this stems from my background in technology where you had to
understand the true meaning of the word "specifications". I learned my way around a multitester over 30years ago.

But I'm like you, basicaly a "ground pounder" and, I like it that way.
