Hi All,

Here are a few pics as I flew the F-15-E around Tyndall Airforce base. Having flown Janes F-15 for many years, I would says this F-15-E seemed to handle very well. As I turned hard and pulled on the stick I heard a lot of "Over G", "Over G". It seems to bleed speed as it should or as compared to other high quality payware jets. I did not carry any bombs so I do not know if it would bleed more speed when doing so. It had great acceleration and landed similar to Janes F-15. The sound is good, but I would have liked a little more rumble from the engine sounds in afterburner and variations in pitch as it flew away in the distance. VRS F-18-E has one of the best jet rumble and roar sounds thus far. However, knowing what I know, I would still purchase this aircraft. A service pack is expected to be release soon to address a number of problems. Plus Milviz is working on the F-15-C.

Forgot to add, the jet is very frame rate friendly and throughtout the cockpit switches are clickable. It also has a robust PDF manual.

Enjoy the pics.

Wired,

Very nice! Unfortunately, I get bored easily with "fly from point A to point B," so I've never bought FSX after playing with FS9 for a couple of months.

Are you able to drop bombs/fire missiles with that one?

You most definitely are able to drop the bombs, shoot the missles and blow up current planes within FSX. MILVIZ put much work and energy into this one and if interested, swing over to Sim Outhouse to check out their thread on the MILVIZ Mudhen. There's much about the upcoming patch and pics of the exploding aircraft. I would say it's not far off the mark from VRS, though with their upcoming VRS TACPack, it will raise the bar considerably for all publishers.

What sort of issues are floating around?

NM, found this:

http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1435&p=10552#p10552

I think I'm waiting till the Service pack comes out.

A big one for me:
"There are NO afterburners. Yet. They will be coming the SP."

Really? How did that one slip through the net...?

Evidently the SP is due this weekend. We'll see then how it goes.

Looks good otherwise smile

Pics look great Wired, the external model looks pretty impressive and more photorealistic than the VRS Superbug if that's possible, a high bar indeed.

From how well these guys supported the Cessna 310R on their forum and via email when I contacted them, I would have pretty good faith on their promises for patches and additional features that didn't make the release, from what I understand via discussion on SOH there is an afterburner but the dev responsible for the graphics of the flame that extends outside the engine left them high and dry late in development, and they are getting the same dev who did the one on the superbug to do it for the SP patch.

I don't fly jets in FSX much (I own the VRS Superbug but rarely fly it) so won't be picking this up, but can appreciate the nice modeling and systems, it definitely seems on par with VRS and a class above the other FSX military aircraft publishers (IRIS, Aerosoft, Alphasim/Virtavia), the fact that you can drop bombs and shoot down other simobjects *now* and not someday is also very cool.

Obligatory SimHQ caveat - this has no Dragons and I really have a hard time playing FSX without being able to shoot down Dragons as in Skyrim.

Actually, I like Skyrim, but I'd never admit to it openly....

Did the patch make it out yet? Or did it see it's shadow, and 6 more weeks of dry thrust....?

Try www.fseconomy.com

flying from A to B will get at least a virtual meaning, as you own virtual $, have to monitor fuel and maintenance. You can do everything from bushflying in Alaska with your single own plane, or (like my group) have a fleet of planes and a network of FBOs.

Before discovering FSE, I thought the same about FS9, afterwards I bought FSX and a ton of addons.
