Hi,

Altought I bought SB 1 a long time ago I barely played it, my principal interest are WWII figthers. I decided to buy the game mainly to support a sim developer that doesn't use DRM.

Just getting the ropes, but I have crashes on Win7 64 bits. I bought the manual also, I was expecting to find more tactical advise there. I doubt I will learn much play online, my life expectancy would be around 10 seconds.

Can you tell me if the dongle could be infected by virus? It is a simple tumb drive?.

Hi Aullido, welcome to the world of Steel Beasts Pro smile

For technical questions I would strongly advise you reading the support forum of Steel Beasts:

Here you probably find what you are looking for. Check the threads about the Codemeter sticks.

Hope this helps.

Cheers.

Well, I'll provide technical support here as well. smile

That should definitely not happen. I suppose you managed to get the thing installed (it couldn't crash, I presume, without that first step. Which version do you have installed (main menu, upper right hand corner)?

You may get surprised. Just give it a try and ask for a tutor. There are lots of guys around willing to give you some orientation. Be sure to have familiarized yourself with one vehicle however, e.g Leopard 2 or M1A1.

I don't think so. The CM stick uses the USB mass storage device driver, but it has no user/operating system accessible storage space (which would be needed to infect it).

It would be helpful to know if the crashes occur under certain circumstances (with specific vehicles, in specific situations, with certain scenarios) or if they happen to be completely random. Do they occur in fullscreen mode, or also in windowed mode. The more details you can tell, the better I can help.

Well, I just bought it, it is version 2.538.

I played the game very little. At the tank range once I have a crash to desktop, no warning or error message. I can't duplicate the problem so far, I don't think I hit exit by mistake.

On the tutorial (Leopard 2E) the first mission "Introduction" the video got stuck, I can hear the sound progressing the mission. This happened both times I ran it. If I use the program manager and select the game again the mission goes to pause and the game doesn't crash. So far are minor problems and I am not concerned.

Do you have an NVIDIA card? You're probably using buggy drivers.
