What would the the best Rally Racer for xbox360 be?

Dirt 2 or 3. I think 3 is the better game, but I lost interest in offroad racing by the time it came out. It's well done though and doesn't have the "living the life" crap that slows you down in Dirt 2.

Those are the only ones I'd consider. Baja Edge of Controls was horrible IMO. There was another Baja game about that same time that I returned to the store 15 minutes after I started playing.

If you want actual rally, as in, decently long special stages and a whole bunch of countries, driving against the clock, then Dirt3 imho is not it. WRC 2010 may not have the "feel" to it that Dirt3 has, but it has 13 countries with about 25 minutes of stages for each (6 stages per country, about 4 minutes one stage), Dirt3 has about 5 countries with 15 minutes stages for each. Dirt3 doesn't have cumulative damage either.

If you want offroad, Rallycross and such then Dirt will do. The new WRC2 actually has just been released, it should be about what WRC 2010 was, with a bit more polish.

What "feel" are you referring to? Does Dirt feel more realistic with better physics? or something else?

I don't think WRC 2010 ever came out on the 360 in the US, just pc and PS3.
I was assuming jpinard is in the US for some reason, which may not be the case.

Oops, sorry, you are right. I verified it came out for Xbox in Europe, but it's not available in the USA.

As for "feel", WRC 2010 (and maybe WRC2, haven't tried yet) suffers from not so well done setup for wheels (i.e. no split axis pedals, no exact sensitivity/force feedback setup).

For actual Rally content I think it is easily superior to any Dirt. And the physics aren't bad either. Just the input options are limited in detail.

If you're on an XBOX with a Pad or cheap wheel, it won't matter so much. For people on the PS3 or computer with a 150+ buck wheel I can see it making a difference.

I wish they would update Rallisport Challenge 2 and re-release it. It was an Xbox title but didn't make it to pc or the 360 BC list.
On the arcade side of things, but a great looking game with some really fun racing. Even had ice racing.
