So this launches soon and we seem to have a lot of potential players, how about we try to drop some toons into the same server? It would be nice to have a SimHQ guild, but I think with all the different playstyles, we may have to leave it for alts. If anyone is getting in on the prelaunch, post where you will be. I plan on going pve myself. I like pvp, but the Republic is gonna get brutalized by all the kids playing Imperial on pvp.

I've played the Beta but sadly do not feel the need to play further. Unlike Mass Effect which I couldn't put down until I finished.
Any idea if this game will be subscription? Or just buy the game and free-to-play on the server?

Ah, I'm out then. Don't like the idea of a "countdown" over my head, especially after buying the game already.

I have come to the conclusion that generally speaking the best PvPers tend to gravitate toward the "evil" side of games.
I have typically been on the good side. At least for the 2 games I have put the most time in, swg and wow.
For TOR I am going dark side because I aspire to be on the winning team for pvp.
PvE is fun but I grow bored of it after a while. I plan on gearing for pvp from the beginning, not at the end in a desperate attempt to stay interested in a game like I have in the past.

I can do either PvP or PvE. I will be on both. I have TS and Vent also.
One great thing I noticed. After talking to another beta tester at my work, we found out that we played 3 very different story lines in the Flashpoint Black Talon instance. Who knows how many other story lines are just in this one flashpoint. One instance were we killed the Captain of the Black Talon threw the whole story in another direction then when we went back and let him live. This game continues to amaze me how much depth they have put into all the story lines.
I also had to actually spend money and buy a new mouse for when it comes out.

PvP is fun (when yer not being chain-ganked), but its gonna be 3-1 darkside I figure, so I wanted to go Republic to avoid all the starting areas from being swarmed by Darth this and so-and-so Fett. Kinda funny when you think about it. SW is set up so everyone wants to be the bad guy. All the kids (and adult) costumes are Vader, Maul, Fett and Stormtroopers (and slavegirl Leia). Heck my planned republic trooper is a pre-stormtrooper.

Dunno about pvp but a lot of what I've been reading is that a lot more people *say* they plan to start with empire. I for one will be defending the glory of the Republic when early access starts.

The pvp I played over the weekend was awesome. I even got one MVP vote in a game of Huttball. My son who pvped for 6 years in WoW loved it.

PVP here with a guild. Unless something changes with the warrior I will be playing a bounty hunter. I have heard that the imbalance between empire and republic players was due to many testers not choosing the side they will play on release. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Level cap is only 50 so, I'm gonna roll several different toons.
A ranged dps and stealth user for PvP and a healer for raids.
I am just not ready to determine which class I want use for these roles.
However, respeccing will be available so, it is safe to say that I will probably be rolling at least 1 of all 4 classes and leveling them to 50 to maximize my options.

Id like to have a dps trooper and dps consular, but Ill probably end up switching one to tank or heals if I cant find a well rounded raiding guild.

See, this right here is why I won't bother with SW:TOR and consider it an epic fail. This is NOTHING like a KOTOR 3 would be. There were no stupid "raids", PvP, or "healers"...none of this crap you just talked about. That's EQ/WoW-stuff. Throw a SW veneer on it and it's the same type of game, it's just a mod of it. If I made a SW model conversion for Red Orchestra 2, it wouldn't be a Star Wars game, it would be RO2 with SW models. I wanted KOTOR with MP ability so I can have others playing in my party...in other words NWN2 but KOTOR era, or at the least what ME3 will be in the SW universe. It sounds like instead it's Star WarsQuest. I really hate what MMOs have done to PC gaming. The Jedi Master

It sounds like instead it's Star WarsQuest. I really hate what MMOs have done to PC gaming. The Jedi Master Its illogical to call it a failure simply because it is not the type of game you want. It will almost certainly succeed at first, like SWG did before it. It's what happens in the months after release that will determine if it will be a failure. SWG was an AMAZING gaming experience early on, bugs and all. It went on to fail when the corporation that owned it wanted to compete with wow. Wow was a more accessible game targeted at a wider audience. SWG was a niche game targeted at SW fans but, more importantly, harder core MMO players. It was not accessible because it had a steep learning curve and severe penalties on death for the alpha class, Jedi. While I never played NWN2, it sounds like a fun game. I LOVE co-op gaming. It's one of my primary factors in deciding if I will purchase a game. I would LOVE a nice squad based co-op SW game but, it's not out there. What is coming is TOR and I will play it and enjoy it with my friends for at least a little while. I HOPE I enjoy it with them for a long, long time.

I dunno about fail, but what I do know is that I am uncomfortable with the Jedi class in this game. In every movie and game cutscene, the lightsaber is a deadly weapon. You do not have to survive any number of hits, one hit and you are sliced in half. Not so in this game. Oh well, I can still probably live with it. But I'm too cheap to purchase a subscription. A game, yes, but I don't like the idea of having to pay to keep playing.

And yes, KOTOR had healers (surely you haven't forgotten the Jedi's healing skills). Yes, the combat is a bit different from KOTOR since you can't pause or have combat rounds in a MMO. But otherwise, it's very much like KOTOR. You'd really be missing out if you skip it.

How can it be like KOTOR if it's got 95% of what every other MMO has in terms of game mechanics?
When they started this, they sold it as "KOTOR 3+4+5 etc with MP", but it just sounds like "SWG in TOR era" to me. This has been designed to appeal to the MMO-hopping crowd instead of trying to make a game that would appeal to the non-MMO players. I guess devs have no idea how to make an MMO that's not copying WoW, or at the least can't get the publishers to fund one.
Oh, something can be a failure while still succeeding financially. How many here would call the SW prequels a failure, despite them grossing well over a billion dollars worldwide? They failed because they were not what they wanted or expected from SW films.

I wanted to play for the Republic, but I love the Bounty Hunter Class so that is where I will stay.
I'll be going PVP as well, I'm not a big fan of PVE MMO's.

I don't understand... so this is a MMO with a monthly fee? Then why is the price 80 bucks? (at Origin). Just wondering...not intrested in the game anyway.

The normal purchase is $59.99 Deluxe Edition is $79.99 Collectors Edition is $149.99 http://buy.swtor.com/us/Or you can get it for $500.00-$700.00 at Amazon...LOL!!! What is even worse is look at the list price on the page. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005B8DRVU/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

Who ever said it was going to be KOTOR 3? Do you have any links that say it was marketed as such? I ALWAYS expected an MMORPG.
I guess devs have no idea how to make an MMO that's not copying WoW...
Did the Jane's F/A-18 devs copy the Falcon 4.0 devs? They are both theme park MMORPGs just like JF-18 and F4 are both study sims.

How can it be like KOTOR if it's got 95% of what every other MMO has in terms of game mechanics? What are you referring to? Combat in TOR is basically the same as KOTOR. Most of the gameplay is similar. This has been designed to appeal to the MMO-hopping crowd instead of trying to make a game that would appeal to the non-MMO players. Funny that you say that, because I was reading the beta forums last weekend, and the MMO-hopping crowd definitely disagrees with you. They're all whining that there aren't enough raids and so on for them to grind on after they get done power leveling. The people who are going to enjoy this game the most IMO are those willing to take their time and enjoy the story, especially those willing to play several characters to see the different story lines in the game. You realize that "solo-friendly" is the trend in most MMOs, right? In fact TOR goes further than any other MMO I've played. You can get help in any role with a companion, and build a full (non-raid) group with just one friend (2 players, 2 companions). Thanks to that, with one friend you can probably do 99% of the game content. Solo, maybe 95%. TBH it seems like you're hung up on the word "MMO". You'll do what you please of course but I still think you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least try the game when they offer a free trial.

We had a 4 man group but one guy dropped so I pulled my Inquisitor pet to use as a tank. It was almost like he was not there. In the fight but got his ass kicked. While soloing on Korriban, having him around was like playing on easy mode! God, I can not wait for release... 12 more days !!!!!

I've been in the Beta the last two weekends, and I LOVE this game! The Bounty Hunter is by far my favorite class so far (I've played a Sith Warrior and Trooper). I'll be playing as Republic on a PvE server (Shii-Cho) with a few others, we have a guild setup called "Republic Knights." From what I have been reading, you can PvP on a PvE server, you just have to flag yourself for PvP. I'll be looking for a PvP Empire guild for my Bounty Hunter.
See you online in 2 days!
EDIT: Updated server name I'll be starting on. Our guild was imported into the game on the Shii-Cho PvE server. Weee!

Not on Black Talon but I did try one on the Esseles (Republic equivalent to BT). I was a Jedi Sentinel at the time so I had their droid companion. Our group got hung up on one particular boss and had a player drop so we tried it with the companion. I'd say we did about equally (not) well both times... but our real problem was that we had no healing at all in the group. Companions definitely aren't the equal of a skilled player, but I'd say they're better than the stereotypical "PUG" player. They don't use skills all that effectively but at least they're smart enough from what I've seen to avoid breaking stuns and so on.

Bioware's experience in RPGs translated very well into the MMO genre. Lucas Arts will have a lot more say in how the game changes than EA. Bioware solved the worst part of MMOs, the horrible character grind to max level. There is NO grind in TOR, because there's 1600 hours of voiced storyline in the game, with advanced classes, and three wildly different specs per class. There's so many amazing choices and story lines in each class alone, with high replayablity.

I've played the beta during the last weekend and really like SW:TOR. It was never announced as "KotOR 3", it was absolutely clear from the very 1st announcements that it would be a 'traditional' MMORPG, although with a heavy emphasize on story and presentation. And from what I've seen so far Bioware has delivered on that promise. I've played the 1st couple of hours of the Trooper, Sith Warrior and Smuggler classes and I haven't had so much fun with an MMORPG in a long time. The voiceovers and dialogues for every single quest are excellent and improve the atmosphere of the game dramatically. The combat mechanics are well done and smooth and the grafics, although not really on par with a 2011 blockbuster title from a purely technical view are top notch with regards to art direction and world architecture. The game just oozes Star Wars.
My only criticism so far is the rather limited character creation.
Can't wait for the (pre-)release. I'll play on a (english language) euro server, with a Trooper as my 1st char.

Well, I started the thread, and after a weekend of reflection, I don't think Ill get it.
Ive been MMO free for 6 months, I usually blow through the leveling content so I can get into heroics and raids. But I really am enjoying not having a second job (raiding) and I dont feel like leveling 5 characters to see the storylines, as awesome as they are.
I think between Skyrim, Arkham City, Skyward sword and Battlefield 3, I can make it till Mass Effect 3 comes out. After that... maybe Ill hit up TOR.

But I really am enjoying not having a second job (raiding) and I dont feel like leveling 5 characters to see the storylines, as awesome as they are. I am absolutely NOT raiding. I will go for the story once my guilds raid team has the content on easy mode but, I am 100% looking to PvP only. All of my playtime will be to support PvP. TOR is filling a gaming hole until Combat Helo, SF2NA and DCS F-18 come out

I have been in beta for several months now. Seen some good things and some not so good things (which mostly are gone now). I will be playing a Early Access and beyond. Love the game/story. Love the combat mechanics (although not ground breaking). Hate what they try to pass as "space combat".

Well, I made a post saying I didn't like it and I have had a voice in my head saying "but it's Star Wars" to counter everything I say against it. And I didn't realise there was ship combat which pretty much swung it. I said after Rift I wouldn't get another MMO "but it's Star Wars"..... No other MMO held any long term interest but as I grew up with SW I am going to give it a go...

Hey Mace, is that you the SWTOR forums are giving a rough ride to regarding cookie-cutter specs? Don't let the WoW elites give you too much grief, SWTOR is very much tailored to the single player, so until you go raiding, pretty much anything goes.

So, should we consider teaming up on some servers?
Either one common SimHQ server, since you can play on EU/US servers regardless of your region (Thankyou Bioware!).

I'm rolling my main as a sith with my guild from work.
I'm rolling any light side alts with my WoW guild.
I doubt I will have time to put any real effort into a 3rd grp but, we will see.
Organizing anything between such diverse time zones is gonna be difficult unless you break it out into teams, especially if you want to raid.

I hope there is no Russian take-over server in this. When I played Rift they 'took over' the English speaking server I was using and were so nasty and rude to anyone speaking English saying it was a Russian only server and for us to get out!
In the end I changed as it was horrible.
If you get early access first MadDog let us know which server you picked.

Got my early access.
I believe we're on Trask Ulgo, an EU RP server (mainly to avoid all the horrible names, and we're not PvPers).

Maddog Let me know if you make a guild on a server. My main is already in a guild but I want to do an alt either Bounty hunter or Commando. It will really depend on if we get a SimHQ guild up. I say main and alt but really both will get play depending on how I feel when I log in. I wont be in till probably the 20th as I pre ordered on the 30th of Nov. But hey I waited this long whats another week right!!

Gonna be a while before I'm on seeing as they are doing this discriminatory staggered start, I only bought it last Friday so my £5 was wasted! You haven't wasted any money, the 5 pounds will be reducted from the full game price you'll pay on the 20th.

Yes I know but I paid £45 (!) on Origin and so I have spent £5 for nothing if I don't get a decent EGA and the game still cost me flippin' £40 which is crazy for a PC game. Which ever way people are re-wording this we still HAVE paid £/$5 for EGA and if some get more time than others then it isn't fair.

Any idea how much the monthly fee will be? This is my main deterrent from buying this game. If it were free to play, then I'd buy the CE no problem, but the idea of a recurring monthly cost isn't a positive point for me.

Thanks! I really am disappointed that I'm having to pass on this game. I'm a big SW fan as well, and really enjoyed KOTOR and ME1 and ME2 from Bioware. Oh well, maybe a few months from now when things are all ironed out and I got extra cash to blow.

Haven't received my early access invite yet. *sad face* I pre-ordered on 9/6/11, created a SWTOR account on 9/15/11. I hope I get my invite tomorrow (1 day sooner for early access).
Can't wait!!

Yesterday was about only july 22nd registers, since tons of people registered their code that day. Today they will be starting to expand the field to a wider array of dates. All early access is granted solely based on when people redeemed their codes.
Also remember, early access was expanded from the original announced "up to 5 days" to "up to 7 days".

You get your 1st companion as part of your class storyline, I got mine when I was lvl 11.
Haven't got a ship. Yet.

You also get your ship as part of your class storyline, I believe somewhere around 17-20 (depending on how much you do besides the class storyline).

It acts as a base for your char and your companions. It's used to travel to other planets and there's a 'space combat mini game', which is basically an on-rails shooter sequence.

Further you can use it to store stuff and generate rest XP. One of my favorite aspects of SWG was having a house, collecting items from quests and displaying them in the house. Basically a virtual trophy room. I hope we get that w/ ships in TOR.

Sounds like the ship functions pretty much the same as it did in KOTOR 1 and 2.

The Jedi Master PSSST: This isn't KOTOR 3. If that, or Star Wars Galaxies 2 is what you're after, spend a $100 million or so like BW/EA did and make your own, if you can pry the license out of fat neck's hands. SWTOR's 6 years of development, 1600 hours of cinematic voiceovers and epic storylines is hardly indicative of a "veneer". Considering there are at least 2-3 million pre-orders (nearly 1 million boxed copies in the US alone) I somehow doubt SWTOR will be an epic failure. The frigging forums over there are filled with PAGES of screaming rabid SW fans raging that they can't get into early access fast enough.

Got my early access.
I believe we're on Trask Ulgo, an EU RP server (mainly to avoid all the horrible names, and we're not PvPers).
MadDog, I will probably get access tomorrow so just wondering whether that server has everyone speaking in English? Even though the language is down as English that doesn't always mean it's spoken all the time...

I see english all the time in the chat.
I on purpose picked a server that did not seem to be grabbed by the large guilds, beyond RolePlay guilds.
The guilds tends to cluster on PvP-servers. Like Blacksomething is the unofficial scandinavian server.

From the forums: It goes back to our pre-order redemption numbers. Our graph of redeemed pre-order codes looks like two mountains with a flat plain in-between, basically. There's a massive peak from back in July (when we announced pre-orders) and a smaller, but growing peak at the end (recently). In the middle, there was a long period where the numbers of people redeeming pre-order codes were steady, but lower.
Now, we've been inviting large numbers of people every day, with more being invited day-on-day. What that has meant is, because of the pattern of pre-order codes being redeemed, on Day One of Early Game Access, we invited a lot of people who had redeemed over a short span of time (late July). Yesterday and today (edit: dec 15th), we invited a lot of people but over a larger span of time (all the way to early December).

MMO roleplaying? Meh, would rather have something along the lines of TIE Fighter with a decent offline campaign. Now that was Star Wars gaming ... *content sigh of reminiscence*

BTW playing on Trask Ulgo so far has been a very pleasant experience. All the groups I've been in so far have been nice, no ninja-looting, everyone is helpful.
I've been playing for two days now and I've seen spanish typing in the general chat exactly two times, so I wouldn't consider it a problem.

Me and a friend has found that the companions are pretty handy, actually.
We had a "Heroic 4" quest, and decided to wing it with just us two (Imperial Sniper (healer) and Sith Marauder (DPS)) plus our two companions (his a tanking companion, my a dps one), and we breezed through the heroic area just fine.
Today we'll be trying the second Flashpoint (Hammer whatever) with just us two. We're a bit over the level of it, so it should be fine.

Hammer Station is nice, two good boss fights. Just did it and got a very nice assault gun at the end.

I'm in. Just started playing yesterday. Woo hoo! I've only played once, but can you change servers freely? Or is it like WoW where you pick one and you're stuck on it? I'm playing on a West Coast (GMT -8) server. Not sure what the name is.

You can change servers freely, but your characters don't move with you...

I've been on the fence about getting this. Now I'm dangling on the other side. I think my sweater got stuck in the barbed-wire barrier thing at the top, but I digress. Star Wars . . . how can I resist? So you guys are on the Shii Cho server?

Are those bonus items in the Digital Deluxe edition useful? The speeder looks to be the most useful item. Not sure how much they cost in game but it'll be one less thing to worry about having credits for. Most of the other items are just "fun" stuff.

Server queues are becoming an issue. 1-2 hour wait for mine last night. Eff that.

Weird. I only managed to get to play for the first time last night at 11pm and all the servers were either heavy or full. I picked Trask Ulgo, which said full but no wait time next to it, and I got straight in. Very smooth play too.

Been playing since Wednesday and the only thing that comes close to the fun I've had so far where they 1st days in (classic) WoW. It's amazing how the cut scenes and voice-overs transform even simple fetch quests to something meaningful.

Para_Bellum, what is the balance between playing solo and playing with others for you so far? Are you playing on one of those Role Playing servers? I'm reading the player's guide and I'm not sure I understand all the differences between the server types.

I'm playing on a RP server.
PvE: standard server, PvP is consensual only and/or limited to various 'battlegrounds'. PvP: PvP may happen any time members of opposing sides meet RP: role-playing is encouraged, as well as appropriate naming of characters. Rules are NOT enforced though.
I play on an RP server because from my experience there are fewer powergamers on such servers and more players actually make an effort to RP. From my experiences of Trask Ulgor so far the RP is "light", but that's OK with me.
So far I'd say I've spent ~ 80% solo and 20% in groups.

Letterboy, If i may add about the solo or grouped, I am now a LVL 15 Sniper. I have not grouped once. There are some missions that require it but none of the story missions require it. Also once you get your companion life gets easier.

If you bought the Digital Deluxe version, how do you get the little extra bonus items? I'm supposed to get a flare gun, a training droid, a STAP (in-game vehicle), and other things. So far, I don't see them.

In game email. If you've entered your code they should be there almost immediately. Even if you don't see the "new mail" indicator check a mailbox, they should be there.

I pre-ordered a deluxe boxed version from best buy and the only thing I got was a crystal that turns one of my lightsabers yellow/black. As I understand it, there were only 2 boxed versions: Standard and Collector's Edition. Deluxe was only available as a digital version.

Lovely..
Had to sit in queue just to log into my account on the damn SWTOR website this morning.Gave up after 30 minutes.
How could a company be so ignorant as to not be prepared for the mass of people that were going to be playing this game.

How could a company be so ignorant as to not be prepared for the mass of people that were going to be playing this game. Eh, I think they deserve a little leeway. I'm pretty sure this is easily the largest MMO launch in history. Even WoW only dealt with a few hundred thousand subscribers at launch and had pretty significant problems. TOR pre orders alone numbered in the millions. Other than server queues for me the launch has been very smooth. And on my server queues have been tolerable, 10-15 min max.

Another addict here. I'm only playing one character, though, and I managed to get to level 26 so far. Right now I'm on Tattoine fighting sand people and such. Before too long I will want to go back and try grouping for those Flashpoint missions. Until now I've been too hesitant to approach others because of my overall lack of MMO knowledge, and the one time I started a group it had to break up because it took to long to find a fourth member.
What I find impressive so far is how you can play it as both a story-driven single player game and a MP game.

I held off from doing groups after bad incidents with WOW players screaming at me but I really enjoyed them and the PVP is fun too and I hated that in all other MMO's.

Mace, that's exactly why I'm mostly holding off until I can group with a few folks I know.

Contrary to popular belief most MMORPG gamers are actually a pretty helpful bunch. If you're new to MMORPGs I'd strongly advice to do some group stuff, it's actually great fun. One thing though: tell the group if your experiences in group content is limited. In one of the 1st difficult 4+ heroics I got pretty mad at two guys in our group who kept making really stupid mistakes, causing the group to wipe several times. I kept telling them to watch out for CC'ed targets, be careful with AOEs etc., to no avail... After a while I asked them if they had ever played an MMORPG before. The answer was "no", and they told me they didn't dare to ask what "CC", "AoE", "aggro" etc. meant... I took a couple of minutes to explain to them the basics of MMORPG group play (which is very different from the SP experience) and voilá, suddenly we could finish the quest with no problems. Everyone had a great time and I could add new names to my ingame friends list.

Another addicted player here.
Only gripes so far...mostly minor
1. No properly working High-Res textures due to a yet to be fixed bug 2. Unscalable/unmodifiable UI..do not like the size and usually always shrink the UI a bit and or move things around to be more useful layout for me in other MMO's 3. Companions following you too closely so when you go to interact with something you click them instead unless you change camera angle. 4. More abilites than you have UI slots available even with 2 side bars (I am only 23 and already have most filled.) 5. Character creation...given most other modern even older MMO's this one is pretty sub par in choices also given the budget this game was made with. 6. Biggest gripe here...non functioning crafting material nodes
Like I said no big issues just a few minor gripes.
I am loving every minute of the game so far.

I think of my level 25 jedi as my learning curve dude. I didn't understand crafting or anything so, I will have to unlearn some of those 'skills' I took on and tailor them more for making money, which I didn't do. I didn't realize the affinity between something like treasure hunting and crafting, so my first toon has no crafting abilities. Doh.
My 26 or 27 sith toon has that worked out, but now I'm at a loss in the artisan department. Seems that my pals only bring back high level stuff for which I have no 'recipes' to use them. I have a huge list of things I can make, but never have the ingredients, because I've moved on too far. I'm thinking I'll have to go to an auction house and buy recipes or something so that I can continue to craft and make money. Unless there's some other way to get recipes? The trainers never seem to update and give me things that are tangible to me. I buy out whatever they have and am usually unable to craft the majority of the items due to low level stuff. I guess I could always go buy the mats from someone, but then that sorta defeats the purpose of having the companions.

Had to explain to some overactive jedi to not attack the guys I had floating in the air and if I come running to them with 4 guys beating on me, please attack them so I can continue healing. I think everyone plays alright, just not used to some of the mechanics and teamwork. Letting one or two of them die whilst keeping our most productive players alive gets the point across pretty well. Remember Mace and LB1, suck up to the healer, saves you money from repairs

What are your crew skills? Most crafting take items from 2 gathering skills. My synthweave, for example, needs stuff from archaeology and underworld trading*. Arch is easy to skill up, you find deposits you can scan while running around doing missions, and I send my ship droid off UW trading while im adventuring. If you hover over the materials for an item, it usually says its a grade 1, 2, 3 etc. material. And you can find some items from slicing lockboxes, if you have that skill. Plus reverse-engineering stuff you make will get you about half your materials back and sometimes unlock an upgraded pattern. you can always hit someplace like torhead.com and lookup the pattern or material you need to see where to get it. * Jedi powers are awesome, I can make a fine silk belt from some glowing rocks and part of the rosetta stone.

Right, I learned that by the time I made my second toon. She's got a gathering skill that accommodates the crafting skill. I think my first toon just has three gathering skills with nothing to craft.

Yep, thanks. I'll reconfigure my Jedi when I stop having fun being evil for a while. I can now choke people and make them fly across the landscape at whim.

3. Companions following you too closely so when you go to interact with something you click them instead unless you change camera angle.
That cost me a very close fight the other day because I could not get the dude I wanted targeted quick enough 4. More abilites than you have UI slots available even with 2 side bars (I am only 23 and already have most filled.) My recommendation: Keep only your most damaging attack and emergency items (heals, anything to break a root) on the 1 to = buttons and get a Razer Naga. The Naga has been for me what others say about TIR and flight sims. I won't play another MMO w/o it. I am ridiculously quicker to get shots off w/ this thing. I LOVE it. 6. Biggest gripe here...non functioning crafting material nodes I HATED fighting my way to a node only to have it not put out. Much better since the last patch though... I am loving every minute of the game so far. +1

Twice I've seen mobs suddenly stop fighting or not fight at all. They would just stand there and get pounded on and even though it was a Sith doing the pouding, that sith still felt sorta bad about it, heh.
I think with the update yesterday, they've said they've worked on fixing the emote issues like /getdown, so I didn't even bother trying it out.

It's about 2:00 AM here. I just got up to get a quick snack and go back to bed. Guess I'll pop in to SWTOR for a minute or so, nothing more . . . just until I finish my cup of tea . . . *sip*

Ah, only 53 minutes later, the internationally recognized and scientifically observed average amount of time to drink a cup of tea, and I am already out of SWTOR again. Now THAT is discipline. What? Server maintenance, now? Oh, I didn't know . . . because I was headed for bed anyway.

Just imagine if they made a Civilization-SWTOR hybrid.
