Im not sure where I stand with this one yet. It certainly has potential, but since I have so much money invested in FSX at this point, and "Flight" is just around the corner, I may just wait and see, Anyhow, here are some shots I took with the demo before it timed out after 10 mins.

I really haven't spent time to get my joystick calibrated yet and In not familiar with the view commands, so I stumbled through getting these shots.

Rob

P.S. knock before entering the aft bathroom!

I don't get it.

In some screens, this game looks on par, if not better than, FSX, yet in others it looks like FS2002.

What gives?

confused

Also, I'm not sure how "around the corner" flight is. We don't even have an estimated quarter for release yet.

For me, the $80 isn't as big of an investment as is so much the time it seems it will take to get it tweaked to run smoothly.

Tried it today, framerates are mostly unplayable for me in the 10s, to jump to 30-40 seconds later, must be the autogen issues. It does look ok for me, shame on the limited demo time though

Therein lies the rub, especially if your system is like mine and more like the FS2002 with bad FPS.

I plan to try the demo update for beta2 and hope for better this weekend.

Civil flight sims have always lagged behind military sims in that aspect. If one wants state-of-the-art graphics then CoD or RoF is the way to go.

That said - I'm a little disappointed by the forests - they put so much work into getting the roads and houses right - but, as a Canadian, I'm well aware that most of the world isn't city...
