I just got a FCC2 modded Cougar and think I'm gonna sale it and go back to CH. I have been asking for years for an F-16 style throttle.

I like my ch fighter stick but the trigger feels like just another plastic button to push. The stick is very smooth, very precise i'll give it that. I don't even use the software as there hasn't been a need for it. Just can't get past the feel of the buttons so I use it as a back up stick. I use things in my pit like the butt kicker setup, pedals, track ir, and alot of home made switches on a leo bodnar board so immersion is a requirement.

When A10 was in beta I decided I had to give the warthog a try. I love it. The throttle is the best I have used and all the buttons are reusable for lots of other stuff in other games. Apart from the paddle the warthog is my old CH stick in form but it's metal and the base was made for mounting in cockpits and I have it successfully center mounted.

As much as I was happy with my CH gear I dont have any regrets with the TM. I wouldn't swap back if that helps answer.

After reading this, it makes me want to try the Warthog before going back to CH, which I might do now.

No you're correct here. Personally I'm not a fan of CH sticks but I do know that they are very precise and because of this when people change from CH they tend to be disappointed. It's kind of like going from driving an base model Mercedes to selling it and buying a fully loaded Kia. Sure you might think the Kia looks pretty and all that but every time you drive it you're going to compare it to the Mercedes and be disappointed. In other words if he were to buy an X52 because of the extra "bells and whistles" then he'll be disappointed with its performance.

I suppose that based on what I've read the Warthog is pretty good competition to CH - as far as precision and quality goes but since I have no personal experience (yet) with the Warthog I can't vouch it.

Glad I could help! Sometimes it's the simpleest of things that seem to muck up the works. beercheers
