Lets see. With the option of internet out there, some may be too easy to answer. So this may be a bit too obscure but here goes.

The name of the WWII pilot who was "UNOFFICALLY" the first to break Rickenbachers WWI record of 26 downed aircraft?

HINT: 8th Air Force.
