Semmern, A good friend says that the P210 is the *best gun ever*. Since they usually run about $2500+ here, I don't think I will have one anytime soon. Sure, I will take the Kimber to the range and compare it to the other pistols...
Cool, looking forward to that
I loved MD's P210. His trigger was tuned so incredibly smooth and progressive, and I shot some decent groupings with it, even the first time.
Here's MadDog's video of me shooting it. Bear in mind these were the very first rounds I ever shot with it, so I didn't know what the recoil was like or anything, so I am leaning a bit into the gun at first We shot at targets 25 metres away.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Sim, what happened? I called you and you ran out and bought your S&W Airweight? HA! Sorry, didn't mean to spread the addiction. I suspect the Water Bottle is heavier. That Airweight is very light. I want to hear the range report for this pistol. And how many bandaids it takes after you shoot.

So Bill, you were a big proponent of the SAXD series of weapons. How does it stack up?
v6, boNes

Regarding the FS2000 - it may look weird and be expensive, but when I take my Beretta CX4 Storm to the range, everyone wants to shoot it, and everyone loves the heck out of it. Of course, mine is 9mm so it is dirt cheap to shoot.
So I say go for it (and post a range report after!)... Good stuff..
Myself, I'm in the market for a Ruger Mark III Target next..

Oh, I ordered it before talking to you. And I will post results tomorrow, hopefully.

You won't regret it. I just got mine back last week from having some work done.
Mine is the 22/45 model with solid polymer grips. I had a guy grind down the grips and fit screw mounts so now I can use any 1911 Government model grips with it.
I'll share in this thread. Although after working a night shift, I felt like a zombie. And my accuracy suffered. Enough excuses... I'm cheap! so drawing little dots for 10 yards works perfectly.
First rounds in over a month... From top left, 340PD (one round went very low), 44Mag, TT33, FNX9.
Right target, 17 rounds from FNX9. Next to it TT33 (horrible I know). Lower paper - right side - PD340 with defensive load.
340PD kicks like a horse! Shooting .38 130 grain was ok. And than I switched to proper defensive rounds - 357 158grains. 5 rounds and my palm still hurts!
Accuracy is OK. I can place everything into 8x12 paper 10 yards away with little more practice.
So 340PD is double action only with hammer build in - action feels very nice. I can feel it has two stages - one as barrel rotates , and second before hammer drops. And if I release trigger, it goes back to rotating barrel action. This is not a plinker pistol. While FNX is great for shooting - this just hurts.
Fun day at a range, but poor shooting compared to what I usually can do.
