Loads of stuff up on sale. And I'm all out of money!

Railworks 3 is now 50% off, after I bought it 3 weeks ago on full price. Meh, it's worth it anyway. Just waiting for something interesting to show up. The Dragon Age Ultimate Edition looks very good at £12.50...

Ohhh, I'm gonna get in trouble! LOL
Anyone know if Fuel supports a wheel & FFB? Might be fun like that. Made me nauseous on 360, might be better on pc.
I'll check the CM forum, but I hate going there. LOL

It's not great, as in TDU1 was ironically a better game. For $5 it's worth it though. Mini-review:

Bad Things:
- Silly challenge races to unlock cars. They tried to add a cheesy story, and it's sphincter-tighteningly bad
- Physics of the cars is more 'floaty'
- Sounds/voices not great

Good Things:
- Ibiza and Maui to drive around, i.e. some serious terrain with a B+ graphics engine
- Multiplayer is not empty
- It's casual fun, i.e. sometimes ok to just pick up and play without stress or hours of commitment.

For the Steam Sales 'daily specials' today, the ones I own and would recommend would be:

- Mass Effect 1 & 2. Worth the cash, especially if you are a recent Skyrim convert and don't mind a bit of story-led play.
- Portal 2. A Great Game on lots of levels
- Orcs Must Die. Decent tower defense hybrid - nicely done.
- MoW: Vietnam. Enjoyed it, but it's clunky. If you are keen on the series then worth it (esp. now there is a scenario editor out).
- Sam & Max. Depends on your humor levels. Really enjoyed it.

The ones I would pass on (although also own <- I'm with stupid etc) would be:

- CoD:Black Ops. Not good value. Wait.
- Duke. Not as fun as you'd think. It'll get even cheaper by Christmas.
- Oddworld. Nostalgia buy, so unless you know what it is then probably not going to enjoy
- Risen. Pretty openworld sand-box Diablo style explore/slash. Worth about 4% of a Skyrim or a LotR:North, so unless very keen then pass
- Renegade Ops. Kinda stupid top-down destruction/driving arcade thing. Thin pickings. Pass.

By the way, I should add: For these Steam sales that do the 'Daily Deals' plus the Publisher Catalog savings then it's nearly always worth buying on the last day of the sale (for Steam that would be November 27th).

It's not a good feeling to buy something on Day 1 and then find out it's part of the Daily Deals further reduction the next day. If you have an eye on a few games already then it's worth seeing if the come up on the Daily Deal further reductions and if they don't then just get them at the end anyways (as long as Steam doesn't go down under load..)

I hope there's nothing interesting tomorrow. smile

Cliffs of Dover is $33.50 on Steam and Amazon. I was hoping for it to cost less... but I am thinking of picking it up. The issue is my PC really isn't up to par to play it.

I've seen it for $15, although don't know if all these are all still valid, legal, usual disclaimers etc

Oh, I'll have to get it then. Having driven around Maui a few years ago when I got married I'd love to check out their version. That northwest road around Maui is quite spectacular (and dangerous). Not to mention to the road to Hana..

Thanks for the mini-reviews..!

Yeah, some of those sites look a bit shady to me. I'd rather pay a bit more from Amazon or Steam since I know they are more reputable.

I am also thinking of getting Wings of Prey for $10, though Steam had it even cheaper in the past.

There is a very good deal on the Total War series today, and I would've gotten the Mass Effect pack if I didn't have the collector's edition already.

Keeping my fingers crossed on Dragon Age. If it comes out as a daily deal, I'm caving in. If not, then I'll buy it on the last day.

Steam doesn't want to sell anything to me. Seems that I can only buy things if my IP address matches the country my credit card is registered in.....at least that's what I assume is happening.

Anyway, their loss. Went to GOG and got SimCity2000 for $5.99. Epic game, and I'm wondering if it's possible to win the 'Flint, Michigan' scenario.

Um, I feel like an idiot now. I was holding out until the last day of the sale, and thought all the time that it was ending on the 28th, cyber Monday or some such... so I thought there was one more round today. Apparently not. Missed out on Dragon Age Ultimate. Oh well. Maybe on the Christmas sale then.

I already had it, but didn't have the Missing Link DLC. That was also 50% off, so I grabbed that.

yeah, scroll down and it says about DA2. It's only a limited time offer though I think.

Make sure you buy the Dragon age UK BOGO.

Yep, just got a reply from the customer service, and it does include DA2. Bloody good deal.

I wonder why I cannot find any other "BOGO" games... what does BOGO mean anyway? How did you find this deal?

BOGO = Buy One Get One, basically a '2nd one is free' deal.

There was an offer panel that came up on their site a few days ago with other games under the BOGO offer but it all seems have gone now.
