Not much doubt this will be something along the lines of Hawx. Have yet to even see a cockpit view screenshot. Had no idea it was coming out so soon, that's also worrisome.

but forget this game, IT IS WORSE THAN HAWX/ACE COMBAT! it's total arcade, with graphics below than the original LOMAC.

I don't see how we can not review the first game bearing the Jane's label since 2002. The name alone requests it.

That said, we'll see how bad it is.

Checked the mail and there it is. Time to experience the horror.

Okay, so as a *GAME*, it's not bad. It's pretty average. Total arcade feel. Things like missiles that reload themselves after you've shot all four. The story is pretty standard modern warfare trope, nothing special.

But as a simulation and a continuation of the Jane's name, it's a total fail. I could go into detail, but I'm sure the review will say more than I can. I'll just say that it's in no way near realistic. It seems more arcade-y than both HAWX and Ace Combat, but it's been over a year since I played either of them, so it's hard to compare.

another once great franchise gets sullied for the sake of a broader audience.

No need to be hostile. If you base your expectations on the name alone, then yes, it'll be crap. However, I've thoroughly enjoyed various iterations of Ace Combat, the last one I played a few years ago on my PSP. I can appreciate sims with the depth of Falcon 4, Jane's F/A-18, and DCS A10, but I can also appreciate "arcadey" games. They still need to be "well-made" arcade games though.
