I found this in one of my sheds out back as I was
throwing out two dumpsters full of computer stuff from back in '81 to present.
I'm going to install it tomorrow on my win98se box with the voodoo 5500 card
should be interesting.
This is MS-DOS 5 or higher version.

I still have my copy, complete with box and manuals, lying around in my room somewhere too. The UK version was decorated very slightly differently, although I don't remember the reds being that strong.
I'm guessing this was the first version of EF2000 released - in which case your Voodoo card may be a little useless, 3D-wise wink

I to still have my copy but my manual and addendums looked different then yours. Maybe it was another look on the manuals and addendums for versions sold in Sweden/Scandinavia. I also remembered that one time I succeded in something that made me able to fly Gripens & Viggens in campaign but they were painted the same as the Eurofighter and it was an Eurofighter inside.

If it's the original first release version of EF2000, I don't think so - the 3D and Tactcom were separate releases, and non-interchangable through patching IIRC. According to Wikipedia, there was the vanilla V1 EF2000, Super EF2000 and Tactcom. II (still) RC, the Graphics+ only applied to the windows version - SEF2K. I *think* TactCom was DOS only, but don't quote me on that - corrections happily accepted.

Tactcom is for EF2000 original dos release, a major upgrade. However, there is no graphics patch or enhancement for the Windows/SuperEF version, so far as I know. It has Tactcom already integrated, and as mike says, allows for TC/IP MP. I believe that if you patch v1 to Tactcom, you can then patch that install to Graphics+ - which is 3Dfx or Verite/Rendition accelerated - not Windows.

I miss the atmosphere of that game. It was brilliant.

Absolutely Flexman. Its the Sim that got me hooked. It was the first flight sim I ever played. Actually it was the very first PC Game I'd ever played period. I still play it even though I'm pretty bad at it. Always have been. Those SU's are murderous! lol What a Sim though.

Agreed. Really wish it could be patched up as Falcon, TSH, TAW have been. But even in terms of just the graphics, to a more modern Direct X standard. Anything! Because it was truly innovative; an unusual campaign setting - well-implemented; a strikingly "different" jet. So many things done correctly.
