Inspired by Pretzel's post about his sim collection...
I used to have all my sims displayed but due to room constraints I had to box them all up and put them in the basement.
I came home from my hockey game tonight and I saw the boxes and got to thinking about Pretzel's post. I had to bust them out and take some pictures. I wish the lighting was better and I didnt use my phone camera...

I feel better, when I see that other people spent the same amount of money on flight sims as I did. Nice collection ...

Nice collection. I have many of those. I sure wish I'd kept my boxes especially the Jane's ones.

Super collection Bandit. Thanks for sharing. I always liked the in cockpit sounds of F16 Aggressor. Oh yes and the Sonic Boom you heard when in Flyby view. Anyone of you guys remember that one?

I also owned so many of them back in the good old 90's.
In a very stupid act of a teenage-ish "ah i dont need that stuff anymore" clean up action, i turned them into way to less money at a local 2nd hand dealer :-/

Now i roam ebay in a regualar manner, searching for those precious gems of a glorious past.

Just to put them in the shelf and smile at them.

I started building a retro rig containing win98 and dos....just to have a original home for them...

Funny thing is...
I purchased 95% of those sims in the 80's, 90's and 2000's. Big boxes, big manuals. I bought a bunch more that I dont still have in my 'new' collection( the one above ).

Same as you, Skeemo, I through them away, gave them away or sold them all.

Then, about 2005, after playing first person shooters and MMO's for a few years, I started noticing that sims weren't being devoloped anymore like they used to. You couldn't go to the store and see shelves full of sims ( now it's THE SIMS )...

I went on Ebay and I spent about $2500.00 to aquire most of what is pictured above. I will never let them go again and I try to buy whatever I can now. Even stuff I wont fly or play, I buy just to add to the collection.

I even bought 2 copies of Black Shark just to help my hobby grow again. I will do the same with A10. I will get the DL version and then when the box version gets released in a few months, I will grab that.

BTW, i owned Tornado at one point...long gone, gave it away to my nephews probably...LOL

I still need to find Jetfighter, Jetfighter II and TAW

Bandit4, I see a few in there I dont have , Better lock your doors

I share the same feelings about buying double...all my fav are 2 each.
