Well Porkchop, 1:C is quite close mouthed about all of their titles. See Thr RTS title (Theater of War I think its called), just a review on Sim H.Q., see Strom of War: Battle of Britain. should be quite advanced and still onlly some loose pictures of teh vehicles....

Even the two IL-2 series add-ons that should be ready by now (presumibly are) and we have no news at all.

Don´t worry mate they deliver the goods for sure, silentlly but surelly ;\)

Thanks for the encouragement amigo. I guess they invest the money they save not employing a staff of prevaricating, marketing pukes into development where it belongs. What a concept! Spend the time actually developing a product rather than make empty promises. A novel, and welcome aproach once you get use to it. \:\)

Salute

Edit: Yeah I also had a hard time following the WW=2 RTS, with the name changes and all. Very confusing. Looks like part of their development process is an evolution of naming conventions along the way. Don't know what that is all about either \:\)

On sukhoi.ru forum, people who tried the game gave it rating "Do not buy it!"

FM is nonexistent, no tutorials/training, bugs, etc.....in sum unfinished.

I hope it will be pretty much like Age of Pirates then: Release the Beta in Russia as a full game and use it as a testing platform for the europe release. Feel bad for the Russians though. \:\(

According to an interview that was linked from the aforementioned forum thread by BusySilent, Nikita from G5 said that this might be a first in a series of games, as the russian title translated is

"The helicopters of Vietnam: Uh-1"

Might be that they expand on that premise, eventually with different helo add-ons? Would be nice!

On a side note: I didn't know that "Whirlewind" is based on the same graphics engine that the upcoming "WWII Battletanks: T-34 vs. Tiger" is based upon... G5's own "Napalm" engine... interesting!

IMHO:
It's not a game - it's a ONE BIG BUG I can't understand - how THAT could be released
And , yes - Do not buy it. At least it's about russian version. I hope non-russian community will have better luck with western release, but I have some doubt about it...
