So I finally caved in and bought a copy. Fooled around for about 5 - 10 minutes after installing and immediately noticed a game-breaking problem.
Motion sickness.
Now, I play FPSs (mainly BC2 and BF3 nowadays) and I've played both Fallout3 and Fallout New Vegas (Skyrim uses the same engine) without any problems.
I vaguely recall some sort of FOV setting that helps with the motion sickness. Is there one I can use for Skyrim, and how do I set the FOV?
Thanks.

Open the console (~) and type "fov XX". I'm using 95.

Hit the tilth key, type FOV 85 (I use 85, but you can set it anywhere from 60 to 120). It will make a big difference.

Third-person perspective is also an option, if that helps.

Is there a way to set this by using some *.ini file? I heard that using console commands disables achievements. And I would think that I woudl have to console command this for every game session.

Oblivion did that to me in third person, the movement and character didn't really match up.
Framerate seems to have something to do with it, but I still get this in certain games. GTA and Borderlands were pretty bad for me too.

FOV changes will carry through a save. So just save and restart the game to keep getting Steam achievements.

You can change Skyrim.ini but I'm not sure it will affect an existing game. Does work on new games, though:

[Display]
fDefault1stPersonFOV=95.0000
fDefaultWorldFOV=95.0000
fDefaultFOV=95.0000

Thanks. Changing the FOV appears to have made the game non-motion sickness inducing for me.
