...and it was depressing. Not the show, but the circumstances regarding the series and it's cancellation. We had just enough time to get to know most of the characters, and then it was over. What an excellent series though despite it's brevity, especially the last episode. Serenity wasn't nearly as good as the series, but it was still entertaining.

This is the second time I've watched Firefly, but this time I shared it w/ Mrs. Brennus as I knew she would love it once she got over the sci-fi, which she's not that into. We watched 2 episodes a night and finally Serenity to wrap it up and she was sad to see it end, she loved it. I knew she would...

Yup, of all the shows I've seen that lasted less than 1 season, Firefly is by far the best I've ever seen. The last time I watched the entire series was on bluray and the high def remastering looked outstanding. Of the 14 episodes that were made I'd have to say that "Objects in Space" and "Ariel" were my favorites but they were all outstanding.

Simon: Are you Alliance?
Jubal Early: Am I a lion?
Simon: What?
Jubal Early: I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well though, I have a mighty roar.
Simon: I said "Alliance."
Jubal Early: Oh, I thought...
Simon: No, I was...
Jubal Early: That's weird.

Best episode of the series. I loved Early!

Yup, Joss Whedon used Boba Fett as an inspiration and ended up making an even more compelling intergalactic bounty hunter.

I completely agree, he's in just one episode and is by far one of the most interesting characters.

Well, when you make your series based on the idea of Han Solo, naturally Boba Fett would be a great foil.

He had planned for him to be a regular antagonist. Picked up in space and set to come back later on. They were weaving a nice little universe there.

1. Jubal Early
2. Niska
3. Badger

To me, those were the top 3 guest/recurring characters in Firefly.

Was killing that show the worst decision ever made by a tv exec? I think so.

I'd have to say my absolute favorite episode of all was "Out of Gas," with "Ariel" and "War Stories" tied for 2nd.

And while canceling the show might be the worst decision an executive ever made, I have the feeling that it'd be done again today, even knowing how popular the show would become.
