The proposal has been made to split the forum into a "General - Space Simulations" forum and the current forum content (sci-fi, astrology, and fantasy space games (Wing Commander, Freespace, Star Wars, Star Trek).

Nah, that's why I requested the name change a while back. Better to clarify and be inclusive than keep splitting. Maybe another name change to include hack and slash or something like that for the Skyrim type people. Most of the good sci fi games aren't like flight sims but more like strategy games. Broad names also include the usual discussions of related movies and tv.
"Sci Fi & Fantasy" would fit for it all IMO.

I suggest calling the forum "Nerdcave Alpha"
And it should have requirements for membership like the following, 1. Have attended at least 3 sci-fi conventions or just one if you attended in costume. 2. Own at least 3 complete sci-fi tv series on dvd. 3. Often refer to your girlfriend as "imzadi". 4. Know at least 10 words from a sci-fi language like Klingon, Huttese or Minbari.

I feel the forum is fine the way it is. I can not say there is a lot of scifi related topics to be had imho.

I'll go against the flow and claim this forum should be split multiple ways. One for "space" one for "simulations" one for "science" one for "fiction" and one for "general."
