I am trying a pre-release version of the 12.1 Cat's and found some interesting (and long overdue) new features: - Support for individual Application Profiles - Support for Crossfire Profiles - DX11 Multithreaded rendering Overall working very nice. Can't believe I'm finally sending my trusty RadeonPro to better pastures.

Cool really looking forward to Crossfire Profiles, as I'm having to switch crossfire on and off a lot lately due to Skyrim losing 20FPS with crossfire on... at least with a profile it would be easier.

XFire profiles will allow us to make our own profiles for Xfire and applications.
instead of having to wait for Driver updates for new profiles.

Thanks goodness! I have been using ATI Tray Tools to set CCC settings and CrossfireX for the past two years...

I've also been usin' ATT, but just how much can you tweak usin' the new CCC? Is it worth the switch, and can you save those profiles and use 'em w/ subsequent driver releases?

Thanks for the heads up on 12.1.
I notice AMD says the benefits only apply to HD5000 and HD6000 (not HD3000 or HD4000 series).
Skyrim is my game of choice currently. I'm running the 4GB user-generated patch and LOADS of 2048x2048 graphics upgrades with all graphics setting maxxed (except only 4AA and 8AF which is done for personal preference reasons). Nearly always smooth high FPS but does drop to around 13-15FPS momentarily on very rare occasion (in a certain spot when looking in a certain direction). I have Crossfire Activated generally but I understood that using the CAP driver Crossfire was automatically disabled in Skyrim. Be interesting if 12.1 really does improve Skyrim FPS where it counts -- the low FPS parts.

Does this mean you can set profiles for individual exes/programs like you can through the Nvidia control panel?
If so, I wish they released this update earlier as it was one of my biggest reasons for not choosing an AMD card.

Does this mean you can set profiles for individual exes/programs like you can through the Nvidia control panel? I'm wondering the same thing myself, as I fiddled around with these drivers just a while ago but am not sure if a profile can now be tied to an EXE. Hopefully someone else here can chime in on that.

The Skyrim beta-mod I use to measure FPS and control in-game lighting broke with the beta-driver 12.1. Before de-installing the mod, I noticed that the low FPS were similar to before 12.1.
I'll keep using 12.1 -- as long as it only disagrees with beta-mods.
