Just looking for advice of which manuals to read and in what order so that I can understand the avionics/game etc for BMS. The BMS manual has like ZERO info obviously on how things like the radar basics and whatnot work, and I don't really want to read through 7 or 8 manuals from all the previous mods, and the original Falcon manual will be pretty useless now I'm thinking.

Any advice on which ones I REALLY need to read and will give me the skill/knowledge that I need PRIOR to reading the BMS manual?

Any help will be appreciated!

Wow, who needs docs when you've got that. Can't thank you enough Wynn.

I 100% support your sentiment though. For someone with no prior Falcon experience, the BMS Documentation is really pretty crappy. It all back-references previous mods, patches and updates so you never know where to look up details. And Krause's videos are good but can't cover everything either.

I wish there was a detailed "this knob in the cockpit does that" documentation somewhere, and something that clearly explained how the systems are related.

But yeah, I can not fault them for it's all free and documentation takes a lot of time.

The 72 VFW has a document in their training aides downloads folder called "72nd VFW cockpit orientation powerpoint briefing". It contains 3 powerpoints that cover almost every switch in the F-16, but it was originally built for Allied Force. It is a good reference to get started and they have a lot of training documents on many Falcon subjects. I would also recommend the quicklists also in the 72nd trainig aids folder.

Thanks for the pointer, I really need to check that out.

What we need (I think, more people than just me at least) is a procedure-orientated manual. As in for example "how to set up the radios" that would then cover the DTC setup of frequencies to the actual handling in the jet and everything in between. Right now we have varied quality level documentation on certain systems, but very little "how dos".
